For those stocking up on laundry detergents - I have just noticed on my supermarket that Persil Small&Mighty Non Bio is £5 for big bottle (54 washes). It then works out cheaper per wash than the Fairy one (72 washes = £10 for Fairy vs 104 washes = £10 for Persil)

That is not nice, Gilly!!!! I never thought of that - I like Ariel usually, but have no problems with Persil. I have to say that I have never actually used Fairy (only for the dishes!!!) But - I am very tempted to get some Persil/Fairy and I saw they also do a big box of Ariel, but that is bio one, so would be for us, as I think you are not suppose to use biological powder for babies? Or am I remembering wrong?

Even the persil washing up liquid hurts my hands, no idea why :(

yeah I think it's supposed to be non bio for the kiddies. Wait until you smell the fairy powder, it's such a nice smell. I've washed all my baby clothes in it :D

We got a 144 wash I think or something similar from Makro for £12!

  • Hi everyone.

    Rant alert!!!!!!

I have had a cough and cold for what feels like the entire duration of my pregnancy now - and I am 24 weeks. Doctor says he can't do anything blah blah blah.

The cold I can cope with, but the cough has now gone to my chest - rung midwife and she has said to get to doctors asap, so am going today at 4:50.

The rant part - everyone at work is getting really really shirty - apparently the sound of me coughing is annoying them all and Ii should do something about it or go off sick, HONESTLY! It's a cough get a grip, oh and remind me next time one of them is ill to make them feel as uncomfortable as possible.

I am now sat here, trying not to cough which is ratteling in my chest and making me feel worse!!! Grrr grrrr grrrr grrrr.

I mean as if I don't want it to go away to!!!!!

    Moan over and breath................

snoopy - they are really off the hook! I would ignore and keep coughing if it feels better. Although, when I was a kid, and had bad coughs, doctor did use to suggest to try and suppress the cough, as then there is less irritation and it helps to recover. I am not sure, but sometimes I think it used to help.

Oh Snoopy that isn't good. Hope the doc can sort you out. I had a bad cough and chest at about 9 weeks which needed antibiotics to shift and I felt so much better after the constant hacking had stopped.
How rude people at work are!! I'd just start doing it even more..that's the devil in me

  • It's amazing how much better you feel after a rant - and yes I agree they are idiots!

If the doc prescribes anti-biotics won't they hurt the baby??? Not sure what I want from him really, it's hard work being pregnant sometimes!!! x x
