I hate the medical profession at times!! Realistically if your baby puts on a pound a week, he could be 11 or 12 lbs by the time you give birth!

I have my growth scan next week, but I'll just be 36 weeks. My GP said she doesn't think they'l induce BUT if baby is big, they won't let me go over my due date.

She said they have to balance it all out, if they induce before you're ready and labour won't progress then more chance of a c section and if they let you go 2 weeks over and the baby is massive, more chance of damage to you, or baby not managing through the birth canal so more chance of c section. Who knows though?

It "feels" like there may have been some progress on the cervix front since the 23rd, so i am hoping the m/w is going to be willing to check me this afternoon and see. If i AM softer, then i'll def ask for another sweep. If i'm not more ready this time, then tbh, not sure i want the pain again!

Baby is still breech and where my diabetes is still erratic they are going to take no chances of letting her go past 38 weeks. Terrified but excited xxxxx

Hope everyone is okay, Gilly I just told oh I need shortbread after baby is born and he has promised to make a batch from your recipe, this diabetes has really been hard to tolerate with xmas, I had to watch eeryone tuck into nice foods where I ahd to inject and eat boring bland stuff xxxx

How exciting Toniq Just 2 and a bit weeks and you get to meet your little girl, you must be over the moon!

It's been such a long road with one thing after another that yep it's a relief, I never thought I would get this far so now just am counting those 17 days down, my only dread is going into labour before as that will cause more issues xxxx

Sorry people are having such a hard time, I think the last few months really take it out of you xxxx

Labour vibes to boldies!!

Toniq- excited for you not much longer to go u might even beat me if I go over !!

Redhead- hope that bubs growth slows I was measuring 39 wks fundal height at 36 wks. Nothing like pregnancy to stress u out is there!

Currently slumped on sofa as no energy!
38 wk appt tomorrow :eek:

All this talk of shortbread earlier and a tin mysteriously jumped into my trolly at sainsburys lol. Picked up a big box of fairy washing powder on offer too

oh my god. i am so shocked. i went for my apointment, mw did an internal and a swab. yes my cirvix is small but...we would have to wait a few hrs for the results. go home make a cup of tea mrs g and i will phone you. okie dokie then see you at teatime when you want me back in on meds .

came home fully expecting to go into hspital tonight, even packed a bag and sorted childcare out.

she just phoned. no no need to come in, your pregnancy is looking normal the results are back and you only have a 45% chance of labouring early see you on the 20th for an ante natal check up.

Lucy, i went back to our sainsburys today to get another box of Fairy, but teh 2 huge pallet loads and 3 shelves that were full yesterday, have all gone!!! Asked the girl on the till, she said yesterday evening people were buying up to 10 at a time!!! Guy on customer services looked for me and said 53 boxes were due in "at somepoint today" hmm, i`ll just have to go over every day until i can get some! lol
