Basically it was jam tarts made from the left over pastry from the quiche.and the pastry is only
4ozs s.r. flour
2.1/2 ozs marg (stork or similar)
1.1/2 ozs lard
mix together to breadcrumbs and water gradually until it starts to mould together, all the time kneading it in.a dusting of flour so it doesn't stick and when in a ball I bung in the fridge to get cold while I have a coffee .Once cold it rolls better I rolled the pasttry out for the quiches and what was left over I re rolled for the jam tarts .These I rolled out and put into a patty tin then brushed lightly with a bit of milk and put a teaspoon of jam into each and put on the bottom shelf of the oven to cook whilst my quiche was cooking I'm just too mean to throw away left over pastry I made 9 of these and the jam was what was left of a small jar in the fridge used it up on 6 of them and the other three I used a spoonful of honey in.I have grandsons that could make cake eating an olypic sport so anything I make from left overs gets eaten Today in around 1 I have one of them 'popping in' (on the off chance I have made some cakes no doubt) on the way home from footie practice I guarantee the jam tarts will take a hammering along with the chocolate topped fairy cakes.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
