    Morning, all,

Got a lie in till 8am, wow. Hubby still in bed snoring away, DD is up early and bouncing around with excitement. One of her pals has a birthday today so the mum is taking the birthday girl and three friends to the local beauty salon to have their nails done(!) and then to the local old fashioned ice cream parlour to have sundaes. Can I say now I've never actually been to a beauty salon, nor had my nails done professionally? So it's all over my head. DD is thrilled at it all though.

DS is out, gone up town with his mates already. He moves faster on Saturday mornings than at anyy other day of the week, I swear. They are off to do some sort of photography assignment for school that involves them getting free passes into all sorts of places and he has taken a 12" high plastic Balrog with him as a prop. Yes, you read that right. A Balrog.

It's my monthly craft group day today so I'm currently writing out hubby a short To Do list for when I'm out. This is a futile exercise as he still won't do most of it but at least then he can't say I didn't tell him what to do, can he? As long as he gets DD to her birthday treat on time that's okay though and she won't let him forget that bit, lol.

Off to have a shower and to see what I can find to make myself a packed lunch, or I may treat myself to a Boots Meal Deal.

    Have a nice day, all.
    Val.

Breakfast eaten, fish fed, next doors cat fed, washing dried overnight outside under the rotaire, another lot ready to go out & another load in the machine.
We need to go to the bank so hubby can get money out for his train fare for next week & then go to the butchers.
The rest of the day it will be apples, apples & more apples for me as I have 7 carrier bags of them to prep.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning everyone,
Well the sun is shining here at the moment so washing is out on the line. BM on and kitchen cleaned.

I did my monthly shopping yesterday, also got the chickens at MrTs got 4. I try and get everything I need and I only have to get fruit, vegs and milk the rest of the month.
I dont seem to spend as much since I changed to monthly and try to stay away from the shops as much as I can.
I plan on doing a complete inventory of fridge freezer and food cupboard (check dates as well) today. Also bough a few things to put away for winter.:)
Then once thats all done I need to buckle down and work out our finances, as we have some debt that I really want cleared up.:(

Postive thoughs and hugs to everyone
    Have a great weekend
Taking it one day at a time

thanks Sistercas - I'm a lot better today and so is DH:)

I have every sympathy with your DD as I too am a nervous wreck in interviews and also most other situations where I am required to speak in front of others. When I had to teach an exercise class as part of my Extend training I was a gibbering wreck and resorted to taking rescue remedy. Not sure if it helped but I got through it.

FS - (((hugs))) to your DDs x x

was a wet start here but its brightening up now.
Am off for a haircut later(am desparate as I look a state:eek::D) plus its in dire need of dying too so I shall do that when I get home.

Housework all done apart from running the hoover round downstairs plus a small amount of ironing. Not doing too much today.

Might make some leek and potato soup later as leeks were half price at Mr M's this week.

This morning I'm sitting in front of the telly doing my nails while I watch the end of Calamity Jane on sky plus(a wonderful film that I've been singing away to:D)

    Have a lovely day all x x

    Morning everyone

Finally get to use my own computer after DS monopolising it for weeks! :D

Rather grey here, washing may be on airer. Went to supermarket last night with DH when babies were in bed (older DS babysitting) - took AGES but was less stressful than with kids! Will have to go at the same time again - got quite a few reduced things, and actually stuff I normally buy. :T

Joiner coming to look at side door today - weatherboard useless & has been letting in rain for years - floor rotten & temporarily fixed by DH, but need a proper job doing.

OS-wise today - going to bake biscuits/flapjack/buns with whatever's in the baking cupboard, and crack on with making Christmas cards. We've got a long card list, and I think I've enough stuff to make all my cards, so will save some money there.

Have a good morning, hugs & kisses to all - see you later.

    A xo

Just watching the news, so sad about the miners in Wales, thoughts are with the families and local community.

Bit grey here today with a good breeze but so far dry so shall hang the washing out in a mo. Shall carry on with jobs today might take DS out to the pictures later. Am trying not to be a grumpy moo at the mo had choice words with someone last night who means well but was trying to tell me what to do about my job and they don't work in nursing. Usually I let it go over my head and ignore stuff like that

Spose I'd better get up currently in bed with 2 cats and DS has just joined us :D. No idea what's for tea, loads of leftovers in the fridge so will probably be that. Also need to sort the rest of the chicken out.

Have a good day all and big hugs to all who needs one.

  • Good morning everyone,
I've just had 12 hours sleep! :) thought I would have a quick lie down when I put DS to bed and ended up going off myself. He woke up at 8.30am so I did but we both snoozed until 9am....Really enjoyed it though!

Today taking DS swimming then nipping over to see relatives and probably staying there for much of today so avoiding the shops. Will get back home for tea (spag bol from the freezer) and watch the x-factor I think.

Have a nice day everyone x

    It's sunny but windy here.

I slept very well last night, needed it. I had almost 11 hours sleep :D. Feel much more refreshed now.

I'm off to town to meet the girls for lunch and shopping later, and show off my new car :p. Meant to be meeting flakey friend for dinner tonight, but knowing her she will cancel!

OS wise - WM needs to go on, emptied DW this morning as I forgot last night! Bins need emptying too.

    Have a great Saturday all

    Morning All.
Another one woken up by the rain & wind this morning :( got up & fed the cats, made a cuppa & was just going back to bed when I realised that I hadn't heard DS come in last night :o checked his room & he hadn't come home:eek:, checked phone, no text, cue worrymode. Tried ringing his mobile from house phone which is a tad temperamental & it wasn't working  Finally he rang to tell me he was in Herne Bay as he missed the last train to our village so went home with a friend. He is now on a bus making his way home & when he gets here he will have to go straight back out with DP to pick up a freezer that I have aquired from a fellow freecycler :T . I have been struggling with lifting stuff out of my chest freezer for a while now so am getting a tall larder type freezer which will hopefully be easier for me.
Os wise am going to be drying some of my glut of tomatoes in the oven & making soup. Have a nice cauli from the aldi super6 & a bn squash so will make cauli cheese soup & bn & pnut butter soup. DD brought me home a ys stew pack last night so that will be going in the pc with a couple of chicken carcasses to make the stock for my soups.
Anyhow, can hear DP stirring so had best put the kettle on.
Best wishes, hugs, spoons & hi5's to all,
    Have a good weekend x

    Morning all,

Been raining here, but stopped now and breezy, so will get the washing out.

OH gone to the boot sale, dd went to bed at 10 last night and was up before me this morning, which is unheard of, she has this rotten cold that so many people seem to have.

Dinner tonight is meatballs and pasta or soup and bread depending on what the others want.

Beth, so sorry to hear about your dd, hope she is recovering now xx

Foreversaving, that must be so hard for your dd, being a teen is hard enough, big hugs to her xx

Beemuzed, I do hope your ds gets the help he needs soon xx

Better get on, have good days all xx
