    Happy New Year to everyone

Thanks Mummy, it was a good evening but got abit messy towards the end with shots but good fun and I think everyone enjoyed it.

Well another new year and a new mindset towards spending.
The business is going well but with it comes the attitude of well I'm earning it so I can spend it but I need to get away from that way of thinking and become more mse again.

So the financial resolutions for 2015

    1) No sales shopping unless it is something that I need
    2) No clothes shopping unless it is something that I need
    3) No buying make up/nail varnish until the old ones are used up
    4) No buying trinket jewellery
    5) Save up any spare change into my moneybox to treat myself with on holiday
    6) Use up all shower gels/lotions/potions before buying anything new
    7) No top up grocery shopping
    8) No more buying kindle books, read the ones I've already bought first
    9) Sell anything unwanted on ebay
    10) Use up all bits and pieces in the fridge

It all sounds easy and it is, I do use up bits and pieces in the fridge and waste very little but everything needs to get used up now.

I need to do a freezer inventory and meal plan around that for the rest of the month. I am good at meal planning but its little things that trip me up such as buying more milk, buying tinned food when theres already several tins in there. It seems to be a security net of knowing that there is plenty of food in the cupboards and the kids are provided for.

DH parents are coming for dinner tonight so its roast beef and all the trimmings, everything is prepped I just need to make a desert and tidy up now.

Work is going well, still enjoying the variety and having more flexibility.

Hope everyone has a lovely day xx

    Hello diary

Wow it's been so long since I posted (almost a year!)
It's been an extremely busy year, the business is going well and every day is spent working. I've gained several new clients in the year and still enjoying the variety, never a dull moment. It's also nice to visit different offices as I never got caught up with the office politics and !!!!!ing.

The kids are doing well, DS is towering above me and DD isn't far behind.

Everything is sorted for Christmas I finally finished my shopping and wrapping today not like me to be so late with everything but work has been full on and I've not had a lot of time to shop so it's been a case of buying bits as and when. I've now finished until the 4th January and are ready for a rest.

Mr Dog is doing well, a right character but a lovable rogue. He charms everyone he meets and has wormed his way into the family.

The summer holiday was amazing, loved California and would move out there but probably not the right time with GCSEs looming in the next 2 years.

Tomorrow is going to be spent prepping food for Christmas Day, tidying then out in the afternoon followed by takeaway pizza for tea, might even crack open the bubbly tomorrow night.

Still reading diaries - Mummytogirls and Abba but never get round to posting (sorry!)

Better go and let the cat out, he's crying the house down.

Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas xxx

    Hello

Hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas, we've all had a lovely time.

I feel for all the poor people who were flooded over Christmas nearby to us.

The kids had a great time and loved their presents, we've had a trip out this morning and bought dd some new shoes on the promise that she won't wear them to go to the park with her friends as she always ends up filthy.

I've got a pile of ironing to do this afternoon, I'm determined to have an empty basket for New Year xxxxx
  • Glad you enjoyed your Christmas Choo, me too!! We too had flooded close by to us, its been so awful hasnt it. When the rain started again today I just thought of those poor people.

    Enjoy New Year xx

    Hi mummy,

The flooding has been awful near us and to top it off empty houses have been broken into and burgled. I'd round up the culprits and chop their hands off!
I think the city was lucky to avoid further flooding this week x

    Good morning

    Happy new year!

My washing and ironing baskets were empty NYE but the washing basket is now overflowing again. DD is the worst culprit, she will throw clean clothes in as its too much effort to put them away.

We had a great NYE catching up with friends and it was a late one, DH suffered the next day but I was up early and enjoyed a quiet stroll with Mr Dog.

It's back to work tomorrow but it's a relatively quiet week, I'll have 2 work at home days and 2 client days with Friday off ! I'm trying to take every Friday off from now on otherwise I'm wearing myself out. Before Christmas I was out with clients all day and then working until 9pm 3 nights a week and it got abit much so I need to slow down in 2016. I don't need anymore clients as the business is going nicely but it's always hard to turn work down if it's offered.
I've even managed to get my own accounts up to date for year end 2015 and have all the tax saved up so I'm happy. I've managed to purchase a lovely apple laptop via the business and various other business purchases so it's reduced my tax liability.

The Christmas decorations have been taken down so the house is looking bare but it's quite nice to have it all done before work starts again.

The plan for today is reconcile the finances, change our bedding and then chill out this afternoon catching up on some missed TV.

It's curry for tea tonight and then healthy eating begins tomorrow. No more alcohol now until I'm on a night out or until we go skiing at Easter.
It's too easy to open a bottle so it's definitely a dry January, February and March.

    Afternoon Choo,

My DD's are the same where the washing is concerned. That or by the time you've been in their room you've found half a basket just there!

Enjoy your last day off xx

    Good morning!

I've really struggled to motivate myself this week work wise, just feeling bleurgh! I think I suffer with SAD as I always struggle with dark mornings and nights but come springtime I'm raring to go! Anyway I need to research how to deal with it and implement some solution, I'm thinking some form of exercise might be mentioned! I really fancy a Bollywood style dance class so might have to see if there's one nearby

We had a lovely day yesterday all 4 of us went out for lunch at a Thai street food cafe, it was lovely. I was determined to try a new dish and I'm glad I did as I will be attempting to make it at home this week. After lunch the kids wanted to spend their Christmas vouchers and money, dd spent hers but ds has held onto his until he needs something.

Today is going to be spent washing and ironing and getting ready for another busy week.
I have 3 client days and 1 work at home day with Friday off for good behaviour but DS is at the orthodontist so I'll have to clean up as and when this week.
