Happy New Year Choo and great to see you back posting:j.
Like the rest of us you seem to be looking at your weight! A half stone is a good achievable goal to have and if you are cutting down on the vino that should help too.
Kitchen sounds fab and wow at DS being at high school, yikes.Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Hi Choo, Happy NEW Year.
Good to see you back and that all is well.0 -
Hi Lionheartedgirl, Pennywise and Polly
Happy new year to everyone, lets hope 2013 is a good one for everyone!
Well it was an alcohol free New Years Eve as well, I feel so much better for it already. I'm sleeping well and not feeling rough the next morning.
We've taken the decorations down today and the house looks bare and I suppose I'll have to give it a good clean as well. I quite liked having the decorations up, its a good excuse not to clean.
Tomorrow DD wants to go and spend some vouchers that she got for christmas so I'll take DS to look in Prim*rk for some new chinos, hopefully he'll choose some neutral beige ones this time instead of his usual choice of garish colours.
Its been a NSD day today, the 2nd of 2013 so I'm pleased with that, I'm not feeling any need to spend anything so long may that continue. I'll have to go grocery shopping at the weekend but will stick to my £75 budget. The fridge looks bare and I need to stock up on pack up stuff.
Hope everyone is ok xxx0 -
Hi choo,
Lovely to see a post from you! Sounds like you are very organised at the mo, I haven't taken my tree down yet!!
Enjoy your shopping day tomorrow xxMummytogirls x0 -
Morning choo, hope you have fun today shopping.
Take care.0 -
Hello everyone
We did have fun shopping until DS had a strop over something that he "didn't" do!!! Why are 12 year olds such pains in the butts? He is never in the wrong (according to him, its always someone elses problem/fault)
So I bought DS some new chinos, DD some new socks and nothing for myself, its far too stressful looking with those 2 in tow. I'm sure DH has installed some device into them to stop me wanting to shop.
Anyway today I've been to Mr S and Ald* and re-stocked the cupboards and fridge. I stocked up on stuff that we'd run out of such as pasta, flour etc. I've had to buy cat wormer and flea treatments costing £12! I also had to buy some eye make up remover and moisturiser for myself so I went over the £75 budget but these were needed and I'll cut back next week.
I have no motivation for housework at the moment, its had a quick hoover and tidy and that will have to do until the back end of next week when I have no kids at home.
So now I'm ironing, DH is sorting the garage out, going to the tip with the xmas tree and rubbish, DD is helping him and DS is out playing football so no doubt he'll come home caked in mud but it will somehow be my fault that he's dirty and makes the bathroom filthy!!
Dinner tonight is a thai curry for DH and myself and the kids have asked for fishfingers and chips so a nice easy tea for them.
Back to the ironing and watching a predictable chick flick!
Have a good afternoon everyone.

Hi Choo,
Glad you had a successful ish trip yesterday! Oh dear dreading the kids getting older as im sure one of mine will be like that too!!!!
Enjoy your thai curry this evening xxMummytogirls x0 -
Good morning
A little confession is in order, I had 2 beers with the curry last night! Curry just isn't right without a beer, no more today though.
Today I am reconciling the finances spreadsheet, not looking forward to finding out the results.
DS is out with a friend this afternoon, so DH and I are taking DD out to buy some sturdy walking boots/shoes ready for our ski-ing holiday at the end of this month. It will be nice to take her out on our own and not listen to them bickering about things that could/might never happen!!
Its back to work tomorrow, which I'm not looking forward to and the kids are back to school so routines will resume. The uniforms and PE kits are ready so all I have to do is make the pack ups.
Hope everyone has a lovely day xxx0 -
Good afternoon
Just a quick update as I'm at work but I can never find the time at home to update!
Feeling abit bleurgh! January is a gloomy month and after 2 weeks off on holiday and I've lost motivation.
I've achieved 4 NSD this month but I need to buy DS food tech ingredients today and some stationery for a job that I'm working on but this can be claimed back and at least we'll get our dinner made out of the food tech ingredients.
The house needs a damn good clean after Christmas and my washing basket is overflowing so I need to do a few jobs when I get home.
I'm snowed under with work for a client at the moment so I'm going to be working on this tonight and tomorrow night and probably every night next week, inbetween all this I need to keep on top of the house as well! The payment for this though will be going into the summer holiday fund so it will be worth it.
I've also been thinking about giving DS an allowance every month and he has to buy an extra things he wants from that instead of us subsidising his ever increasingly expensive lifestyle! We need to give it some thought as to what we will pay for as a matter of course and what we consider to be extras. He's developed a taste for Superdr* and Jack W*lls, not cheap and sometimes not the best quality either but thats the current trend.
Better do some work, hope everyone has a good day0 -
Morning Choo,
Lovely to see you posting again!!
Sounds like everything is mega busy round at Chez Choo this week!! Im sure you will keep on top of everything once you get back into the swing!
Thats a good idea with DS's allowance, will have to remember that one for my DD's xxMummytogirls x0
