DFW and Eliza, DHs are all the same.
I can't believe I haven't posted for a few days but its been a busy time. DS is sitting his year 6 SATS this week and is just taking them in his stride. I've been trying to make sure that there is as little stress as possible at home so he goes off to school happy.
I need to go grocery shopping after work but only have a tiny amount left in the budget so I'll definitely overspend but hopefully not by much. Its a make do week I'm afraid. I've had a dig round in the freezer and theres a few bits left to use up.
The weather is brighter here but still too cold for my liking, I'm feeling very cheated at the moment as we should all be enjoying some warmer weather by now. My mood is a bit bleurgh at the moment and I'm sure its the weather making me feel like that.
Work is busy but again I have no enthusiasm for that so I'm feeling flitty at the moment with no real focus or drive!
Housewise, I need to decorate the family bathroom and spruce it up with a new bathmat and carpet so we'll hopefully tackle that over the jubilee weekend. I might even muster up some energy to decorate DS bedroom. I faced my demon and gave it a damn good de-clutter the other day, what a tip! I cleared out 4 bin bags of tat, managed to get DS to part with some books and its now looking alot better; unfortunately it won't last!
Only today at work and then 2 days at home, I think that it will be a housework day tomorrow and then maybe a mooch round the shops on Friday followed with a trip to the hairdressers.
Not much planned for the weekend, I still need to sort through my clothes and get rid of some. I'd love a Gok capsule wardrobe but I don't know where to start!
Hope everyone has a lovely day.
Oh I forgot I sold a few more bits on Ebay and Quidco paid out over a £100 cashback so I'll update my signature later xxx0 -
If you work out how to get a capsule wardrobe then please share. I want the same but haven't a clue how to start either.Prepare for the unexpected - £477.02 / £10000

ooh that wardrobe sounds good...reminds me of that trinny and susannah programme a few years back didn't they tell you how to get the perfect 'capsule wardrobe' i think it intially involves A LOT of shopping around first of all to find where the places are that sell clothes that fit you fab! Unless you are lucky enough not to have love handles anywhere (unlike me lol)
Well done on tackling ds room i still haven't got round to my sons room -must do it in next week as he's home for half term  !Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. Good morning
Hello to everyone who popped onto my diary xx
I am loving this weather at the moment, although its abit much for the poor cat who just flakes out in the coolest spot available!
This week I have washed all the winter duvets and dried them so now they just need vacuum sealing in their storage bags and shoved back into the loft until the autumn.
I bought thick winter jumpers last week in the Mons**n sale, how mad was that! At least they will save for the winter and be fully appreciated at the appropriate time.
I need to update my £2012 challenge but been abit slack with surveys recently, been getting screened out of loads and it becomes demoralising after a while. I have all my sites listed on a spreadsheet and a few are going to be knocked on the head once I've reached payout.
So today I need to do a meal plan and go shopping later, slipped abit this week and spent more than I should have done by just popping for the odd bit here and there so need to rein that in again. I don't seem to have had a NSD for ages either, the children have had school photos, trips etc to pay for and it all mounts up.
The plan for today is to blitz DD wardrobe again, its a complete mess and I really begrudge doing it when I haven't made the mess but it needs doing!
Will pop another load in and get that dry before I tackle the ironing later on.
Hope everyone has a lovely day xxx0 -
Good morning
I can't believe its been so long since I wrote on here. Life is hectic at the moment, the builder has started, he finished a job early so has pulled our job forward. Needless to say the house is trashed, stuff and dust everywhere but I'm not stressing about it as I know that it will be lovely when its finished.
On a positive note, theres not much point doing any housework apart from hoovering and washing, so I'm quite enjoying it really!
The weather is dry here at the moment so I've got some washing out having a good blow.
Moneywise, everything is plodding along as it should be. Our milk and teabag consumption has soared due to the builders drinking numerous cups every day, maybe should I negotiate a bigger discount to offset the cost!
Hope everyone is ok xxxx0 -
Hi Choo,
Yay to the building work starting thats fab news :j. How long approx until completion? I bet your tea and milk consumption has gone through the roof, I think you should defo negotiate or buy super cheap tea :rotfl:!!
