  • I have had a boring couple of days which has been nice, I have managed to get my petrol down to £25 this week instead of the normal £40 my car really guzzles petrol but hopefully I can keep this up for a few weeks as the petrol budget should be £260 for the 2 cars but I only have £225 available. The cars are our largest expense I really hope once we buy a house closer to the schools in 5/6 years we can drop one car although in 15 months DS will be entitled to the free school coach and the petrol should drop to approx £15 per week (dependant on the rises in costs!!).
We have finally convinced DD to use the toilet and she is now fully out of nappies during the day which she is also pleased with now.
DD2 still being lazy and not walking but at least I'm saving on shoes for her!

Been a busy few days the kids DS1 and DD2 had a sickness bug which only lasted a few hours but DS has had to be home from school (48 hr rule). DD1 has had real trouble with her asthma again. It is really odd her temperature keeps rising and has been constant between 38.8 and 40.2 she had docs this morning and before we went i took her temperature and for the first time it was normal and she was happy and playing the doc said it was just her asthma and if she still wont drink they may have to admit her! within 30 minutes of being home she went downhill and her temperature was 40.1, her eyes are grey and bloodshot and she has no energy colpol/ibprobrufen aint touching it. I give up!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Hello HBS, :hello: thought I'd pop in and say hi. Read your diary over the weekend when I wasn't well.

Hope your DC get better soon, it must be so frustrating not being able to work out what's causing DD1s temperature spikes. Perhaps monitor her for the night and if no improvement, go back to the docs tomorrow.

Love your goals, such positive ones, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Anyway, if you don't mind I'll join you on your journey.

  • Well our budget was shot to pieces today, we got DS a bike as he needed a roadworthy one for school on monday the letter came home last night and they want it in school tomorrow afternoon! We called some repair shops but the best they could do was next wednesday. We will have to make the money back it was £250 reduced down to £90 so a good bargain and his face lit up when he got home. It will be interesting to see how long this one lasts!

DD1 went to emergency doc's, this time her high temp was seen they have given her some antibiotics but couldn't find the infection shes still not great. The doctor also told me I shouldn't be giving her iprobruferen as it can make asthma worse why had no one told me this before!!
DD2 unclipped her highchair earlier and fell out onto a solid wood floor she seems fine but I will be emailing graco as the protective cover to stop this happening is sewn on in the wrong place so comes up behind the clip leaving it exposed if that makes sense!!
