    Morning all.

BB Hope DD is better today. I hope it was just an idiot who forgot to rinse out the kettle cleaner.

Up bright and breezy again. More lovely sunshine but COLD. 14degrees in the kitchen this morning. DH sent off with packed lunch, just having my tea before walking dog. Then vet, Mr T, and I start my new volunteering job this afternoon. A bit apprehensive but I'm sure it will be good for me.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning All,
Thought I'd pop in & say hi after having a couple of weeks that were distinctly physically, financially, emotionally & vehicularly (is that a word?) challenging to say the least! However car is back on the road (for now) DS has had a lbm & gone back to school :j & tax credits have been reinstated so things are on a more even keel at last.
Healthwise things are just rubbish, have now been diagnosed with CFS to go along with the fibro, :( been told that I am too young to have knee replacement, too old to have my back done :mad: & am still waiting on a decision re the carpel tunnel, so for the time being it is a round of hydrotherapy, physiotherapy & pain management clinic.
Have tried to catch up, but having difficulty remembering everything :o
So congrats to JulieG & hugs for your DS, that's a lot for him to cope with x
Lou hope your break will be relaxing & allow you to start feeling better, also hugs for your DH x
Molly glad that you got the news you were waiting for x
That's it, brain gone blank :o so to everyone I wish you a Happy Thursday & send hugs, spoons & hi5's as appropriate.

    jaxx

p.s os I have put the wm on :D

    Morning all!

I slept so well last night! Feel really good today. OH was pleased with his new lunch box :) Not so pleased with the chilli plant..
We ended up having beef stir fry for dinner tonight, So need to use the chicken in the fridge up today.

Need to hang a wash out before I go to work and the kitchen is a tip again!! - i'm going to sort a cupboard a day i think. Yesterday I did the fridge. Tonight i will do the cupboard which is just filled with empty jars... I think i'll put them in the hall cupboard and move the spare stores to the kitchen cupboard.

It's chilly today!! I have thermal tights on :o - I have reynaulds and need to keep my tootsies warm!
Primark have some sheepskin style mittens i see, so want to get a pair in town on Saturday.

Have a lovely day all x

Question! - I have some peach yogurt that i'm not thrilled by right now - can i simply put in in my ice cream maker and it will turn into frozen yogurt?
Same question applies for some plain greek yogurt.

I'd mix them together actually. Would give a creamier taste. I don't see why they wouldn't make a nice frozen pud though, as long as you didn't freeze it too hard. Yoghurt slush?

  • Good Morning All

Chilly here too this morning but bright sunshine :) my favourite sort of weather.

Picked up my new car Tues, really like it but its very different from my old one, its a 1.2 and have been used to driving a 2l. Still wont be getting any speeding tickets and will definitely see the difference when I fill up the tank. Had the seats washed in my old car yesterday and planning to get it mot'd to sell when someone came round last night & bought it :j still need to get the mot sorted so will be onto that this morning.

Have OH home as kidney stone has still not appeared  he is being good and drinking lots of water but the darn thing is happily sitting in his bladder - must be too comfortable in there. DD is also home but still in bed as her college is only Mon - Wed.

Plans for today - essential business stuff, sort mot, wait in for bed delivery, clear ironing pile & washing basket then head off this afternoon for bluetooth car kit to be fitted into new car. Oh and clean inside of kitchen windows - I can manage to use the kitchen sink without splashing the windows but strangely the rest of the family cant :o

Have rejigged the menu plan and now have chilli tonight.

Sorry haven't been keeping up with the thread this week, (((hugs))) to whoever needs one and get well soon to those with this darn cold that is going around, having succumbed yet..........

    Morning All

Molly... I am glad that the news was good x

Jaxx ...I have been told that for years and both of my knees need replacing, they do not like doing them before the age of 60 because revisions are so much more prone to complications, but that dosen't help when it is hard to walk and you have to cope with pain on a daily basis :(.

jannyannie.....That is awful, we need more nurses not less  I believe it would be far better to get rid of some of the useless tiers of management and leave front line staff to do the important work of looking after patients.

    Beth (((Hugs)))

Essexgirl.. My DH suffers from kidney stones and they are really painful when they start to move, so send OH a ((((Hug)))) from me.

Main shopping day today, and I want to get a few extra bits in for Christmas. I already have a tin of roses, quality street and celebrations from the co-op (I know they are 2 for £10 in Asda but I get points on my card this way and a cash payout so I prefer to get stuff from the co-op if it is on offer)
I also got a tin of victoria biscuits in Asda for £5 so I am well on the way.
I want to strip the covers off the settee and get them washed and on the line before I leave so I am off to do that after another coffee :D
    Have good days all x

A sad day for me today as it would have been my friend Lesley's 61st birthday and also it is the anniversary of her son's death too so a sad day for her whole family.:( It is nearly 3 years since she died and I miss her so much.

OS - we're still picking beans and tomatoes from the garden. House is tidyish.Washing on line - lots more waiting to be done.

I need to book a haircut - its resembling a bush at the moment!:D

  • Thanks Tap and Jaxx I think he needs positive vibes, although he seems much happier today and just hugged me a lot :)

Jaxx that's so odd, because the NHS tried to push me into 2 knee replacements at 24 years old, I was lucky my company I worked for at the time had private insurance and it paid £7,000 for a £10,000 worth of treatment (I had 4 lots of reconstructive knee surgery) which has added 15 years (cross fingers, more) to my knees!

They did tell me at the time that current rules are that you can only have knee replacement surgery twice on the NHS and since they last 8-12 years (8 for someone as active as me!) that they try and do it as late in life as possible.

But that doesn't help the pain!!! It doesn't give you any kind of comfort when you can't even walk down your path to get to the car, when driving becomes impossible, and you can't get on the floor to play with your child!

Sometimes I just wish they would actually care more about people then about rules and regulations.

    ((hugs))
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!
