lol i am actully smiling knowing that some person somewhere has tried to wrangle money from me and FAILED. lol and double lol. The power of mse forums, love it wish more people were made aware of it. Two work colleagues have had tickets and by looking at my thread have also agreed not to pay. so thats a minimum of 60 quid not going to cp plus

This is indeed the way to look at it, from a positive angle of keeping your money in your pocket and laughing about it. So many, despite the advice, continue to worry and let the 'threat-o-grams' get to them and that is exactly what they want.

Top job on helping two work colleagues understand the scam as well... the more the better!

If they are bar-coded franked, bob them back in the postbox, they come straight back and they get charged every time.
You can soon end up costing them £80.
They certainly dont send you any more.

  • Just to add to the thread, I started my CP Plus journey this week. The original notice came through to my employer as I was driving a works car (I left it at a Motorway services car park for 4.5 hrs while on a course with a work colleague). I obviously didn't want my employer to keep getting letters for my boo boo (I genuinely missed the signs in the car park as I was still half asleep at 8 in the morning) so after reading on the Honest John website I sent CP Plus a cheque for £10 (knowing full well they'd reject it) stating 'Although I do not accept that I owe your company anything, I enclose my cheque for £10 in full and final settlement of this matter.' This enabled me to get them to focus their attentions on me instead of my employer and I received the cheque back today along with a threatening letter which I know is an empty threat. I now intend to sit back and watch the increasingly threatening letters roll in and chortle to myself as I imagine CP Plus squirming in frustration!!

well done that is a good way of getting them away from your employer. There was another chap on here that cp plus affected there job.
There are now five os here at my work that have had tickets and not paid so its nice knowing these theives have not pocketed a min of 150.
What is very very frustrating is the appeals process, i have never had the chance to appeal once let alone three times. when ever i gave them something that they couldnt ignore well, they ignored it lol.

Thought I'd follow up by saying I never heard another thing from CP Plus so this method definitely works!

Hi I have joined the forum as I have unfortunately received a parking enforcement from cp plus. I have read previous threads and this one however my situation is a bit different. I was parked in a yellow box that says keep clear and is hospital property. There are signs saying that a ticket will be issued. They have me down for parking offence no7. However I am not the registered owner of the vehicle and this has happened in scotland where traffic laws may differ from in England. So should I pay or ignore? Do they have any right to give out tickets which are enforceable? They are asking for £20 I don't mind paying but I would rather give this money to a good cause then to these cowboys. Thanks for any advice
