My son has a new PS3, he has downloaded the beta for Assasin Creed Revelations, when he tries to play online, he can't find a game due to the Nat Settings are on moderate? We have tried to fix this via the router but no joy, can anyone help and in simple terms please:o

Well my landlord was, but it didn't work and he had to go.0 -
Sorry I have to go out for now, but you need to make sure your PS3 has a static ip address, and then allow port forwarding to that in the router. I am sure a PS3/Netgear friendly body will jump in whilst I am back. Or you stick the PS3 in a DMZ but I guess your son needs to access the home network too.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . I ave given the PS3 a static ip address, i think, we inputed it into the ps3, which was showing moderate nat, then did the router/landlord did, read that you should reboot everything. pc, router etc.. nat has gone to Strict now instead of moderate which is worse. Am going to try your instructions above.0

I am finding this extremly difficult, looking on netgear,it seems i already have the box ticked for "Use Router as DHCP Server" looking at the manuel from above i cannot seem to find the using address resevation on netgear, if i click on attached device it seems to have the ps3 already on it with a mac address.0

Ok I am at this part:
We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. PS3 Assassins Creed II requires you to forward the 5223,3478,3479,3658 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Custom Services menu and then click Apply.
I have the ip address in, but a box popped up saying invalid ip address, the instructions before said to put a dot in the Put a dot into the Port Forwarding radio button. Unsure what this was!! Sorry.0 -

Do I put a dot next to the 1?0 -
Ok, that already had a dot in it.0

# Service Name Start Port End Port Server IP Address 1Age-of-Empire4762447624192.168.1.4 2name152235223192.168.1.2
