    Morning all
Have done 3 loads of washing, and have put some on mums pulley to dry, since she's still on holiday! Have just braved DS' bedroom, and ran back out, the deodorant fumes are choking me! Load of mince and veg bubbling away, I see cottage pie on the horizon for tonight, yum! Off to check on great aunt, then fear I must face the ironing, isn't life so exciting!

Late good morning ladies and any gents,
LouLou bless you hun, I know exactly how your feeling with the sneezing. I was feeling under the weather and its now turned out as a rotten stinking cold.. Not feeling to bad though now.
Oooo the wind yesterday, nasty nasty, hope not to much damage done.It blew down part of my fence and completley demolished my neighbours fence. My housing association came out yesterday afternoon and made my fence safe and put the order in for the damaged parts to be replaced. Poor neighbour can't afford to do there fence yet as he has not long lost his job so I have said I will pay part as my hanging baskets were on the fence and even though they didnt cause the fence to come down will still pay some towards it. Ds3 went out when he got home from 6th form and help neighbours hubby to take the fence completly down and lay it on my decking as they had nowhere to put it .Woofer made an appernce in their house this morning whilst I was putting the washing out:o. Managed to get so much washing dried yesterday , 2 lines of jeans and 2 lines of towels and bedding:T.
Dinner today is Roast chicken , roasties , yorkies with stuffing and veggies.
Enough of my waffling , have a good day all:)

It must be my week for being banjaxed ,my blooming iron seems to have given up the ghost on me today, more blooming expense.Mind you I shouldn't moan it is almost 20 years old so I suppose nothing lasts forever.I plugged it in this morning and it kept 'tripping' the lights Its definitely the iron as I tried it in another socket. Now I will have to scour the shops looking for another one The one I had was a Rowenta and I don't know if they are made anymore.CBA to go today I will wait till Thursday. Good job there's not a lot of ironing to do.Used up my broccolli in a quiche at least so the days not totally wasted

Afternoon everyone. I'm very tired, OH was up early for his interview(and kept us up half the night with nerves!) so I came into work early and now I just want to go home to bed :o
I need to go to the shops on the way home for fruit and eggs. No idea what to do for tea and whether to wait for OH. The later he calls me to stay he's leaving, the better the interview went and it could be as late as 7pm

If you can't tell, i'm quite useless today :rotfl:
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:
  • Just had a quick look at the prices and my last one cost me £7.99 and lasted almost 20 years looking at the price of another iron, the thud noise you can hear is me hitting the floor £50+ for a blooming iron !!!!!!!I also have to buy a fairly light one as I don't have a great deal of strength in my right arm and I'm not supposed to pick anything heavy up because of the lymphodema.Anyone reccommend a light weight iron that won't put me in the workhouse :):):)
  • carp bed eh BB:o;) thats your excuse anyway:whistle:

It was all that vogue-ing on the dance floor wasn't it :p

  • Monnagran these radiators are 'bumped' the dust builds until you have black build up. I wipe them quick with a cloth when dusting, but after being poorly 6 months they look black. And all the doorframes have 9 year old hand prints and odd marks... a fast wipe while dusting means never having to wash them... I find anything that takes a quick wipe instead of a scrub works for me :)
