Morning all:j:j
JG I lost a stone in first few months with my DD, but was sick all the time:o:o
Had the famous family photo yest, the cheesy pics are on fb.we only did it for my Aunty's 90th:o:o
Am feeling very down in the dumps at the mo, feel very taken for granted by my Mum.Yest I was the only one washing up serving and waiting on, and didn't get a thanks or asked if I wanted anything to eat.The others took platters of food home and we got nowt.Just ignore me as i'm a bit vulnerable at the mo:(:(:(
Both me and OH feel like we need to take a break form all the family crap at the mo:o
Anyway OS wise today, not much as CBA, but am popping into town to try and get a coat:D
(((huggles))) to all in need today esp Beth :A:A:A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

This is early for me but am having a coffee break. Quite rough here, feel sorry for your DD Molly on the ferry crossing. Not only is it going to be choppy but the last time I travelled to the mainland on a Bestival weekend it was like a moving refugee camp. Good luck for tomorrow
cat-smith: Wow! Is it the new year or something? All these resolutions! If one of them sticks you'll be doing well.
Suzyboo: Good luck with the knitting. I got my Christmas stuff out this w/e too. I knit the Jean Greenhowe's Christmas stockings but customise them. eg, not just the santa doll in a chimney pocket but a snowman in a white pocket and a toy soldier in a stocking shaped pocket. They go like hotcakes at the Christmas Fair.
Rosy Red: Have been in your situation and managed to keep up friendly relations for the sake of my DGD. Am hoping that at some point when she is older I will be able to enable some relationship between her and her father. Very tricky at the moment because she is being told only half the story.
Well, have almost re-organised my kitchen cabinets and am about to try out my SC for the first time. Have had it for a couple of years but never got the hang of it. Here goes!I believe that friends are quiet angels

paidinchickens - Thank you for that, it's nice to hear that there is always a happy ending.
I was sick with DS but gained weight in the second trimester which means even though I lost weight in the third trimester I wasn't worried so much with him and went into labour 1lb lighter the pre-pregnancy. But I was 20 and believed Dr's knew everything, and they just said I was overweight so not to worry.
But, I am not so overweight now, and having ONLY gained 3lbs before starting the downward slippery slope into weightloss again bugs me, I expected to gain for a few more weeks, and I think I just wasn't mentally 'prepared' for it to happen so soon! As I said, i am not worried about my weight so much, it's how low my calorie intake is... it has to sustain my body and I am aware that 'dieting' is bad, and my calories are low even for a diet! I am also not allowed high Gi type foods (due to multiple losses) it's difficult to get the calories in... although I do like adding a lot of dairy which is definatly keeping my calories higher
I tried eating bacon this morning... all I can smell is fat! YUK! So had a slice of bread and Jam, which didn't like me! I just hope after the baby is born I don't eat so much that I gain weight, if it's one thing that might be nice... it's being thin and at my goal weight when the baby is born! But it's not something I care about really
I am so looking forward to eating REAL food!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Morning All,
First chance to post since Friday so sorry if I have missed things,
Rosyred, hugs for your son, what a tough situation. My DD recently separated from DGS dad but we know how important it is that he has a good realtionship with his dad, hope things work out for you all.
JG sorry first chance to respond since Friday. Yes I am still reading although its usually locked in the bath or in bed at night. I have read all Nora Roberts stuff and am currently reading Lisa Kleyplas. Have you read any of hers they are fantastic and she gives Nora a run for her money lol:rotfl:
Its blowing a gale here as well so planning to peg my heavy towels out shortly.
Tonight we are being taken out for tea as MIL wants to see DS1 and his GF before the travel back to Oz on 21st Sept. We will miss them but the house will be a bit more manageable. DD is also currently looking for a rental and hopes to move during October.
So then it will be just the four of us.:j although I do love it when we are all sat around the dinner table together.
Went to see my mum and dad for lunch yesterday. Sadly my youngest DB is back with them having split from his wife. He struggles with depression so he is in a bad way. Think I managed to persuade him to visit the docs today so am about to ring to check on him:( its sad but I don't think she really helps or understands his situation although I understand its very difficult to live with.
Anyway have a good day all, don't get blown away, J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

JG I wouldnt worry too much, just try to keep hydrated.
I was sick the whole 9 months with DS and couldnt even keep water down half the time......as others on here know he was 11lb2oz so he must have been getting nourishment from somewhere.
Been busy decluttering this morning but have now run out of room in the bin:o
Spaghetti and meatballs for tea...ds fave;)
Very windy here, feel like pinning the girls in their coop bless them.
Got a pile of ironing to do after lunch:cool:....lovely.
RR I dont like toad in the hole either....it does something to the taste of the yorkshires somehow....I prefer them seperate;)0 -

Many thanks for all the good wishes x DD is home as she caught the 8.30 ferry. Her friend was very sick but DD is made of sterner stuff and had breakfast on board whilst her friend stood on the deck:eek::eek::eek:
She had a lovely time and said everyone on the IOW was very welcoming and that Bestival had a lovely atmosphere so think she will go back next year. She is now asleep but then needs to sort her stuff.
I have been to see Mooloo and we went through her stash of fabrics and buttons. That was very nostalgic going through the button boxes as I am going on a course at Denman College (WI) and need some bits and bobs for crafting. I was very worried about going but Mooloo set me straight:T:T:T
Hugs x
ETA - no post for me today :{I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Mrs Mix- have a good birthday x

Julie & Monnagran thanks for your thoughts-it is difficult for him to know what to do for the best. Her Mum and Sdad & the rest of the family all speak to him and are friendly-to us as well as him so perhaps we're panicking a bit,we'll see shortly.I just find it so sad that what should be one of the most special times in his life is being spoiled, but hey thats life.As we say round here,he'll have to 'keep goin wi th'ead deawn' lol xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
