It's pure sugar which is a preservative. I'm still using some which was use by 2007!!It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

I'd use it too, however old it was. Did I read somewhere that they are now going to stop labelling foods as 'eat by....' and put something less specific because we're all wasting so much food because of these silly dates scaring us off perfectly good stuff. (Well of course we old ladies eat all sorts of old stuff and it doesn't kill us, but my daughters stick to the 'eat by...' dates religiously)0

I would say definitely eat it. I used up a tin of condensed milk that was over a year out of date, used it to make a rice pud in the slo cooker, it was yummy!Proud to have dealt with my debts. Nerd number 288:j Debt free date Dec 07 :EasterBun
