I've home made turkey stock in the fridge - been there a week (made on the 28th Dec). I now realise you should boil it daily to keep it fresh..... Would you use it now to make soup? It smells ok to me, but ive never really smelt stock purposely? Seems such a waste to bin it ....A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I have a unopened carton of double cream that went out of date today - is going in the fish pie tomorrow as I am happier to have it cooked.Kondo'ed 76 items from wardrobe, 4 carrier bags of books0

Have a really good sniff at it. If you are sure it smells fine, boil it as described above, then either use it or freeze it.

Hi, just bout to make sum flapjacks, but have realised the porridge oats were out of date in May 09 (!). Will they still be ok to use? Would you risk it?0

Yep - wouldn't think twice about using them... unless of course they have weevils or mould growing on them!Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0
