I would do this. Put them in a covered container or under cling film and away you go.0

They will be absolutely fine;) Food really doesn't go off that quickly.
You can also freeze fishcakes before frying/baking. Cook from frozen allowing a little longer cooking time. Worth making in bulk for the freezer.0 -
I agree, they would be fine.
Just cover them well so that they don't absorb smells/emit smells.
Enjoy them.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Just found some sliced turkey breast meat and gammon that I froze at Christmas in the back of my freezer.
Is this still safe to eat or is there a time limit to use up cooked meat?
If ok - can I just defrost it and eat it as cooked meat on sandwiches or will it need reheating fully and therefore used in casserole or something?
Was following advice on here about portioning up my turkey at Christmas to save money and since forgot all about it - not a good idea
Thanks everyone0 -
it'll be fine! i ate some xmas chicken yesterday for dinner... yummy it was too
as long as it was refrigerated safely, and then frozen safely, it should be fine to just defrost and use in sarnies0 -
Should be perfectly safe to eat and I would even leave it frozen if you have no use for it at the mo. Id have thought it would be okay in freezer for a good few months. Yes fine to use in sandwiches, etc. I've just finished some cooked ham that I had sliced and frozen - I'd bought it reduced from £18 ( ) to £2 at Waitrose just after Christmas. Tasted as good as the day I froze it (and it was delicious ham:j ).0

I've made a pie for tea with leftover Christmas meat - as long as you've not been reckless with it, it'll be fine
I'll add this to the exisitng thread on use-by dates.
