  • How'd you do juliejim?

Wish those fluff clumps stayed in clumps - I'm now officially Mystic coloured... I heard it's really 'in' this year :rotfl:
I'll furminate her later - she'll hate me :( hey ho.

    Right in mt HHC I:
    Tackled TWO hotspots.
    Dusted
And did the fluffy tumbleweed - in otherwords I've hoovered the edges and emptied the hoover twice.
(I also stopped the chilli from burning :rotfl: but I'm not sure it counts :rotfl:)
Doesnt sound a lot but one of those hotspots was all paperwork

    I've

Had a bit of a sortout in the drawers in the LR - not completely but enough to fill a carrier bag of rubbish and 1 of paper recycling - and I think that's about all I've managed to do. I could do with finding my CRB really - but I'm not sure where it is - I've found my Scouting one but not my teaching one.

Right I'm going to have some lunch then I'll carry on.

  • LW, usually when people's backs go twang for no apparent reason, it means they've been using them wrongly for ages and have been lucky so far. After the usual medically recommended stuff, you may well need to become a bit of a nag -

'Bend with your knees NOT your back!'
'DON'T lift and twist at the same time!'
    'You're slouching!'
'That needs to be divided up into two loads/bags'
'You need to carry that closer to your chest to reduce the strain it puts on your back'
'You're twisting your back in that position. Do you want another cushion?'

They soon get abbreviated into woofer-type commands; 'Knees', 'lift THEN twist', 'slouching!', and whatnot.

You can see I have experience of this, can't you? :)

Wow. You've been busy bees this morning. Haven't done any official flying but lots done - 1hr if paid work, 1hr LBT class (ouch I'm going to hurt tomorrow!) and start my new job at Oxfam on Thursday ( 2 afternoons a week so I actually talk to a human being occasionally not just DH and you lot. Woofer is gorgeous but not the greatest conversationalist:D)

It is lashing down with rain and really windy here. Managed to dodge rain showers this morning when walking hound but I think that's it for the day. If the wind gets worse he's going to be locked in.

Anyway, off to do some more work.

    See you later:wave:

You're right. Usually I avoid telling him what to do, as I don't want to be perceived as a nag, but in this instance, I think a little gentle persuasion may be needed.

He had this happen a couple of years back, fo absolutely no reason; he worked from home the day it happened, as we didn't feel he was safe to drive, and it happened at 6 am while he was getting ready for work; a couple of days of being "careful" and he was fine again, so hopefully he'll be OK this time too.

But yes, I think we need to look at how he's going about things - and I must get that bath lift organised, because hoisting me out of the bath, even though I'm two and a half stone lighter than I was, can't be a good thing.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Afternoon all, posting first and reading after.

I've dusted the living room and computer desk, vacuumed living room, hallway, stairs and kitchen. Kitchen cleaned and floor washed. Not enough washing for a load (I did three loads yesterday) but it rained half the morning anyway. Dry now though.
  • Hi Guys last week was pretty bad I got next to nothing done. I cleared the Kitchen from top to bottom but now its full of washed clothes to be sorted on the kitchen table. The living room had items picked up off the floor. I've ordered tax return form to be sent out, and fill out my re-mortgage application for HSBC chucked on around 5 loads of washing which is on the table to sort and thats it. I really have to get motivated this week I was working like the clappers last week was my birthday and I took a day off to spend with a friend shopping along with having the kids monday ment I had what I normally work over 5 days to do in 3.
A kick up the backside is what I need going to try and do level 1 and 2 today and if I get time sort though my filling cabinet and flink whats no longer needed.
