Weekly Flylady Thread 12th September 2011

Afternoon. Just popping in with absolutely no hope of catching up having been away on a course.

Trying to be a disciplined Flylady (it was one of those courses), so I'm going back to the dailies any minute now - after tea break that is.

Just two things first -

Belatedly LW - thanks for sharing that anniversary card - I loved it - you are a very talented lady. You've made me wonder what hope there is of me making a card myself between now and next week ............ except I don't consider myself especially artistic .......... but then the thought might count ......

And it appears I have missed the actual announcement, but can't fail to notice that many congratulations to Pigpen and her OH are much in order.

Right. Tea. Bring in washing. Then return to e-mails to apologise to lots of folks who have received rubbish e-mails from me - thanks AOL!

I'm definitely "in" for next week - if and when there's anyone to post it.

Afternoon all

First things first congrats to Pigpen and family !

This morning OH did a really good clean of all the kitchen worktops.

Have been eating a frog this afternoon- OH and I have been sorting out paperwork. :eek:

And the heavens have just opened on my washing ...sigh....must get an indoor dryer thingy or a new tumbledrier.

Oh well OH is still sorting paper and muttering.:rotfl:And shredding.

Need to find bedding for pull out bed in the sitting room as a friend is coming to stay tomorrow evening until Thursday morning. It will be lovely to see her. Wish I had a spare room not occupied by a model railway.......

Chicken, roasties and veg for tea.

Not too bad...brought in some washing ..put boys bedding out and it has just thrown it down...typical.

Emptied kitchen bin
Prepped pots carrots cauli and broccoli ..just par boiling pots now as kids want roasts..
emptied and part filled DW

Done DS2s hair and hes now in the shower.
Rice pud ok so far...smells amazing....

done nothign this afternoon, just snoozed! so going to have a HHC upstairs and see if i cant get upstairs looking presentable.

had a blast of the spare room. just need to put 2 bags into the bottom of my wardrobe so that the spare room is tidy, so that i can sort them out at my leisure. im going to carry on with my cleaning, and am going to give the bathroom a once over and sort some bits from my frog list. mainly coat hangers and washing baskets!

Monday ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Level 1
Vacuum floors and sofas
Extra
Clean a window or two.
Tuesday ~ Master bedroom and Landing
Level One
Vacuum the floors
Level Three
Dust and deweb.. don't forget the bedframe and light fitting!
Extras
wash any windows and sills
HHI.. and put it away!
Wipe any grotty paintwork!
Wednesday ~ Kitchen & Dining Room
Level One
Sweep and mop floors
Level Three
Wipe the hob and oven
Extras
Wash windows
Clear and wipe all sills
Thursday ~ bathroom and study
Level One
Mop or vacuum as appropriate
Level Two
Scrub bath, tiles, shower head.. you all read the link I hope?!.. sinks toilets keyboards mouses etc...
Level Three
Shine any mirrors and clear mantels
Extras
Wipe radiators, shelves and paintwork
Wash windows if needed
Clean any chairs in these rooms
Friday ~ Kiddies rooms, Spare rooms or another neglected room
Level One
Declutter and vacuum the floor
Tidy away all the toys and clothes and games and books that are in the wrong places
Level Two
Sort through a chest of drawers.. dispose of anything that is outgrown, worn out
Level Three
Dust and deweb
Wipe over the bedframes and paintwork
Extras
Wash windows and sills
Wipe all the upstairs doors.. both sides!
Sort through one box or drawer filled with miscellaneous gibble.. from any room.. it just needs it!!

Frogs
1. filing - saturday pm and sunday job this week
2. prepare house for winter (list on preping for winter thread)
3. install cat flap
5. more curtain things to be added to make them hang better
6. load all cds on computer and then copy to hard drive and then music magpie the oldies
7. put all dvds onto spreadsheet as bought duplicate today that didnt realise OH had - started
9. sort out my make up
10. sort out big outhouse - WIP till mum up to help with this
14. vacum pack spare pillows and feather bed so babys room cupboard clear. need help with this as need the hoover upstairs.
15. sort out coathangers for ironing lady
16. sort out spare bags/washing baskets in babys room
17. sort out carrier bags/bags for life in kitchen

sorting out stuff

1. chartity shop/clothes bank/shoe bank stuff in babys room thats already sorted
5. tesco carrier bag for life

Downstairs' collection of fluffy tumbleweeds all vacuumed up.

Evil smelling present from splat removed from shower floor and disinfected.

Nasties tray changed again, bicarb added to bottom of it and litter replaced.

Stoopid splat photographed in compromising position.



More of kitchen drawers cleaned

WM on twice.


I should do something else, but I'm really struggling to get the motivation.

My flying week started well and then I lost motivation, inclination and time and so pretty much gave up on the lists

I will try harder next week as I am in danger of getting to CHAOS state

Goodintentions

managed to put washing out before we went out stayed out longer than planned Bought washing in & put in TD Washing now dry, and bedding in TD now Don't ya just love this weather!!

DS & DD2 are walking the dog, whilst taking yet more photos. DH took DD2 round one of the estates near where he used to live. Even he was shocked, and DD2 was terrified! She got some good 'run down' urban landscapes of abandoned shopping trollies & matresses, grafitti etc. She had to make sure no locals were in them, incase they thought she was a benefit fraud investigator :eek: Scary place.

Shopping done - overspent as usual But did get the new black cardigan, new toilet brush and car seat I wanted :j oh, and some food

DH has now left for Bonnie Scotland for a few days. At least i can sleep tonight without the fear of a black eye! :rotfl:(I got elbowed in the night in my eye!! Luckily, it didn't bruise because that would be a dodgy one to explain :rotfl:)
