A quick stop to say Congratulations to Piggers.

Busy day here; much CAMRA work to do (beer scores to be entered on spreadsheet) and I still need to put together a letter to my GP. I've no idea how to go about it though - I'm used to just going away and putting up with it when I get less-than-satisfactory treatment from medical bods.

Bed has been changed and bedlinen washed, and Mr LW has hoovered the whole bungalow; he also cooked dins (omelette) as I nearly passed out after making blackberry'n'apple crumble and a lemming cake.

*Looks at clock* Must go; Clive and Derek will be wanting their walkies shortly.:D

  • Hi all

Congratulations Pigpen. Thanks for the hug Juliejim.

    Today

    WM x 2
    DW & emptied
    Hoovered lounge, hallway & bathroom

Went to Dunelm and brought a new duvet (changed bedding last night and almost saw straight through my winter duvet!), oil cloth for table and velcro to stitch onto my curtains so they can be held up so they don't block off the heat from the radiators.

Mangaed, during a lull in the torrential downpours, to get the *almost* dry washing in.
DS's GF ordered a taxi to take her to work (Mr Ts no less) I said I would have taken her anyway taxi didn't show so I did run her (and DS came to) and she loaned me her card - I got my new jug AND10% off:D:D:D:D:D and I now know where the service road is because the car park was solid because it's right next to the B2Net stadium amd it was chucking out time but a nice car park attendant showed me and a few other drivers how to get out :D:D:D:D
    ironed washing

new jug is exactly same as smashed one:T:T:T

    Evening all

After a real shock this morning it's been a good day. If you have issues with our 8-legged fellow creatures, don't read on.

I was getting dressed and just had to put my top on when I felt something tickling my back. I brushed what I thought was a cobweb away, but could still feel it. In the mirror I saw a big brute sitting on my back, just out of swiping reach. Cue lots of throwing myself around, whipping my bra off (and tearing it ) until I realised it was gone. It was so horrible and still makes me feel quite sick when I think about it. Bloomin' things! They should know that I'll only tolerate them as long as I can't see them!

Anyway, I went to Crystal Peaks with DS2 and OH. DS2 had a look around Smyths Toy Store, but brought all his money back. :T I found a couple of bits and pieces, but we missed a lot of shops out as I'm short of cash at the moment. Pleased to see a Sainsbugs there, though, so I expect I'll go every couple of months. OH wasn't impressed, but I liked the combination of shops in one place. Similar to our town centre, but with a supermarket and retail park thrown in. Since we came back I made mushroom soup (just need to blend it) and corned beef hash with dumplings. I also peeled lots of carrots because they started to go bad. Will need to make some soup tomorrow (or in the SC overnight).

I hope everyone's ok, as I've only had time to skim through. x

    listy for weekend:
    blend mushroom soup
    tidy kitchen
    freeze DS2-sized portion of hash
    empty and re-load DW
    make veg soup
    change beds
    laundry
    bath
HHC x5 in bedroom, kitchen, dining room, bathroom, DS2's room
    e-mail CV to DS1
work to-do list for next week
    school stuff
    HW with DS2

This week's 7 (well, who's counting) - aiming for at least 5 this week (2 done)
    OH's forms
    de-flea cat
DS1's job applications - asking for daily updates
    set up calendar
    follow up parking fine appeal
post letter and DS2's old jumpers
