HHC result - one long put off frog - EATEN :j
Off to sort & prep dinner, quick trip to shops and then carry on with the big sort out - whispers quietly DH & DS also doing the same....
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Congrats to Pigpen and family
Be careful with the medical advice as we are not allowed to give any however well meant.
Mostly lurking, have been struggling with a flare up so little cleaning going on until the last couple of days. Most of downstairs is done, still lots to do upstairs sadly.
DH making lots of progress with plastering and stuff, plus a trip to the tip yesterday that has made the patio look a lot better.
Second what Hex says re medical advise. Hope your flare up settles down hun. My DH is doing well with his jobs too, hedge cut, garage tidied, passport photos sorted.
I'm mainly tidying and doing laundry. Two bedrooms to dust upstairs and then my upstairs week is finished - boy does downstairs need attention this coming week - a room a day will be my aim.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi Dusty - I admire your methodical way of working through everything.
Did a QHC rehoming things, threw some clothes on, pegged towels out and flung rubbish/recycling into respective bins. I feel much more energetic now. Got to go to Jack Fulton's for some bread and a flan case (strawberry flan for dessert), also cream for my mushroom soup.
DS2 is going to start some homework and I need to do something about my Medusa hair before I head out.
I'll keep updating the list on the previous post for a bit. Hope everyone has a good Sunday. x0 -
Thanks Dusty
I have cleared, boxed and binned the broken glass (thanks DS1) from upstairs, and brushed up all the chipped up tiles from DHs work area so he can actually see what he is doing to the floor. Lame leading the blind with us as he can't bend much either :rotfl:
Just off to get our bedding in the WM and then does anyone care to join me for HHI?
After which I am tempted to wonder down to the co-op to get a well earned bottle of wine to have with dinner. V envious of the strawberry tart Mrs C, but after yesterdays excesses I had better behave.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

I was going to point out what Hex said, too - so thanks, Hex. There's a risk that the thread could be closed or posts removed which would cause confusion!
Have remembered that this is the week we are supposed to be issuing our homework - we are having a new idea and going to issue an ongoing 'how you can support your kids at home' type thing. I wanted to do time but we're going to leave that for now (there's a lot involved and not enough time :rotfl:) so we decided on money for the first one. I have been typing up ideas and links. I've also put the links on the website and I will get brownie points for that because I'm the first one. MUST remember to show it to the boss for approval first, though!
This idea was mooted and agreed on the INSET day - had I known about it earlier I would have done the years work by now (yeah right, in my dreams;)) well I would have made a start...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Good afternoon all xx
Congrats to Pigpen and family, she is beautiful x
Back from the van, first load of washing in the machine, house ful of stuff(I hate the end of the season, we seem to accumulate so much stuff over the summer!!!).
DD has gone to the cinema with DSD for a friends birthday. OH having a snooze on the sofa, I am on the hunt for some bargains for Christmas.
I think I am doing well in keeping up with my spending too!! Hope I keep it up!!0 -
Shopping done, which took ages as I forgot its Freshers Week next week, and shop was heaving with parents spending out for offspring before buzzing off home.
Going to fling dinner in and do another HHC on the study & kitchen, before I brave DS's room. DH still hard at shredding & filing....:j

If in doubt as a flylady, one of them is bound to know.......................................
So, does any one have a good knowledge of Bucherer ladies watches, if so please me pm, as I have some questions I need answering.
(just discovered that woc of a sister of mine, (the one who refused to come to our mother's funeral) is about to sell a Bucherer watch that mum gave her about 14 years go or so, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr not that I can stop her, but equally I am not sure I can afford to buy it off her, smugly she rang me for the first time in 35+ plus years to tell me.) grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
