I haven't applied for a Capital one again as I've not had my Vanquis for a month yet and don't think I will be accepted.
Once the default drops off next year my credit file is clean with over three years of payments and no late or missed payments.
So hopefully I should get out of the poor category and get a better score than 560 after paying over three years and having no defaults.0 -
I know the credit score is useless and its your payment history and the amount of debt you owe etc.
I didn't pay for my score it was free so who got ripped off?I'm not poor i'm just skint0 -

You say something drops off in July so that's 6 years but you have 3 years of good payments. What about the other 3?0 -
One default is Capital one sold to Lowell's that will drop off next year and once that drops off its two years of blank history.
Come next year its four years of good payments and two years of blank history so hopefully I will be able to get a Capital one or a better card
Be cool if BT sent payment data to credit reference agencies or I would have three years of payments with them too grrr.
Good luck to all your your applicationsI'm not poor i'm just skint0 -
I used to have a Capital One card in 2010 which I defaulted on, just applied for a new one and got accepted (8 months of perfect history since then with Vodafone, Vanquis and littlewoods)0

They say creditors like to see a variety of credit agreements on your credit file to see how well your managing with payments and they say a minimum of two credit cards.
I'd like another credit card but I doubt I would be accepted for Capital one as I've just got my Vanquis in December.
I've got various agreements that I've paid without fail for the last three years.
Virgin mobile
Virgin media
BT
Catalogues I've just had for six months
JD Williams started at £125 now £900
Simply Be started at £125 now £900
Kay's started at £500 still £500
All with a low balance and all paid on time.
Forbes rental washer machine paid for the last twelve months
BT I've paid on time for three years but they don't report to credit reference agencies.
Credit file says I'm in the poor category and hopefully one day I might get fair
But hopefully I will be accepted for another credit card sometime next year after they see I've been a good little boy and learned my lesson
Once they see lots of green zeros it seems to get easier to get accepted for credit again after being declined all the time and then getting accepted people seem to learn their lesson and don't make the same mistakes again

Yes lenders do accept people who previously defaulted with them especially if they have moved address.0

Congrats on the card
well i got my aqua card last month - mastercard and wanted a visa card just in case therte where someplaces abroad that where being finiky
apllied for capitalone with a £500 limit - thats limit is okay for starters0 -
A lot are just grateful for being accepted so they can start to repair their credit file and don't care about limits as long as they can repair their damaged credit.
Once you get credit of some kind it seems to open doors to other credit and a lot don't make the same mistakes again.
If you make a mistake then the credit reference agencies punish you for six years but its only four in Europe?
Congrats on the cardsI'm not poor i'm just skint0
