It's not that I suddenly flip anymore (think my current meds stop that a bit now) but I suddenly go quiet and my OH notices and asks if I'm ok. It's only then when I realise I need to 'get out' and quick. For a while I had prescribed Propanolol - they are beta blockers, stopped the rising anger. Make you dopey mind you as a side effect.... might be worth a chat with the gp?
I'm fine as soon as we are on the way back home from anywhere but if I can't leave immediately, then I tend to get angry and what out.
Sometimes I don't even realise I'm panicking! stupid isn't it. Really glad I went on the break though. We have spoken about me going on my own in a few weeks to see if I can do it...crikey!0 -
He is such a star. I am amazed at the ways he shows you support - wish I'd had it!0

Just wanted to update - my oldest son got married yesterday - his Dad and I split 19 years ago, and yesterday was the first time we'd met in 15 years. Oh boy, he treated me like I'd crawled out from under a log, but it just served to make me realise how much more of a man my OH is, because I KNOW he is civil and pleasant when in contact with his ex.
The reception was lovely, until the disco started - could only stand so my 'stimulation' from lights and noise before going outside, surprisingly both my sons also spent most of the night outside too.
A Yurt sounds lovely DarlingBuds - a narrow boat is my dream. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
My ancestors (from my granddad) worked on narrow boats for 5 generations! I've been back to see where they lived and I've also even found the actual boat my grandad was born aboard in 1933!A Yurt sounds lovely DarlingBuds - a narrow boat is my dream.
Narrow boats is our other dream xx0
