Hugs ((Bramble))
I hope you feel better soon xWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Evening all
Bramble ((hugs)) and I second NPM.....
I am cooking a piece of gammon and intend to see see how far it will stretch this week......
Managed to get 2 loads of washing dry today and went shopping with OH. Bought a dress in Gap(I never buy dresses or shop in Gap) it is lovely with long sleeves and a bit of a draped front . Black with a pattern and it was love at first sight! And a pair of wedge pumps in M&S to go with it. I always wear trousers except a bit in summer. Not OS....but I may take them back if I feel that I have spent too much money. I do that a lot.....
Bit grey here now but it has been sunny today.
I am looking forward to finishing my library book tonight ( the latest Phil Rickman) so that's OS.
Have a good evening all."It's hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world"0 -
Evening all, still home, OH and I had a chat, then went out for dinner, it's cleared the air, we were both tired, stressed and last night it got on top of us. I need to try and covertly find my engagement ring...I threw it in the hall last night, but a quick scan and I can't see it! I don't want to ask OH if he has it either!
Re: My dad - he's tried to call me, i've not returned a call yet, I just need some me time after this week! He says it's because of my grandad, but he needs to learn he can't just pick up a bottle everytime somthing goes wrong! I love him so much, but can't handle that on top of everything.
OH and I went to a lovely pub and had roast and dessert, I couldn't face cooking, the house is going to need to be blitzed tomorrow evening.
Going to sit in front of the telly and have an early night tonight.
Going to maybe join the fly lady thread as the house is rediculous right now!

this child of mine is really not helping my mood
he has become obssessed with his trains and i mean obsessed. he wont do anything without a train. as a result he has barely eaten over the past week because it means coming away from or putting the train track away. he has a strop if he cant get his own way or if something doesnt go quite how he has planned it. its only the past week that it has been a problem but i'm pulling my hair out. he's not normally like this at all and i feel guilty thats it down to everything that has been going on recently. he's been like it at nursery as well but they tend to let him get away it as he is a friend of the boss (my friend owns the nursery) just dont know what to do

I am no way an expert but what ever you do BE CONSISTENT. He's also at that wonderful age of trying to push his luck but be firm and be prepared to follow through if you use threats. I went through stages with both of mine, felt like I was constantly saying no, they weren't pleasant to be around. It will pass just try and be patient (bl00dy hard I know LOL). Even now DD can be a right little madam, people think she looks like an angel but really she's a little demon with a cute smile LOL
Bramble - glad things seem calmer and that you found your engagement ring xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Evening All
Horrid weather here, not too much wind at the moment but it has been raining all day! I stupidly stripped the beds today and along with the rest of the washing it is all hanging around on airers, even the one in the garage!
Hugs to those having a bad time and thoughts are with those families and friends who are missing loved ones due to 9/11.
Spent most of yesterday fixing my bargain curtains, they were 2 1/2 times the width of the window so have managed to unpick one width so they fit a little better. They took up the whole window even when they were pulled back! Got a piece of fabric for £1.50 yesterday and have made 4 draught excluders today, very OS!
DS1 is being the special one again, my late OHs parents have come up to Glasgow to see the baby and neither they or DS1 bothered to tell DD. She has been working all weekend but could have seen them last night or I could have done her shift tonight but she has decided not to bother trying to get in touch as they obviously don't really want to see her. As you can imagine it has been a tough weekend for her, especially as it is the anniversary of losing her Dad this week. Families eh!
Going for a nice long hot bath in a mo and then into a clean bed! Take care. XX0 -
