    Hello everyone!

I realised that the last time I was on the forums was 14th August. Life over the summer was manic due to me working in my "holiday" job to get some extra money for our garden sorting out. It meant living with my parents for 6 weeks, but at least we'll eventually have a garden which we can relax in. DH has hired a skip and filled it with goodness knows how many patio slabs. It's taking ages to get the garden done, but I know it'll be worth it in the end!

Term started for me this week and I'm now teaching Year 1 (I had been in Year 2 for 4 years!) within the same school. It's an infant school, so there's no chance of me moving "up" but I'm looking for other jobs closer to home to reduce my petrol bill.

This weekend I've actually been able to rest for the first time since June. Amazing! This means that I've spent time cooking soup. Yesterday I made Spiced carrot & lentil which was delicious and today it was Red lentil, chickpea & chilli which was equally as yummy. The leftovers will go in the freezer for either one night or work lunches.

Supper tonight will be DH's own chilli con carne "recipe" ie chuck it all in... However, we do get about 14 portions out of it. It's all worth it in the end, isn't it? :D

Have a good rest of the day.

  • Afternoon everyone.

Feels a rather sombre day today, can still remember being at work when news went round about Twin Towers. Internet via work couldn't cope with the sheer amount of traffic and I remember the BBC news pages took ages to load. Rather strange the things we remember.

Anyway took kids to a birthday party at 9am  and then on to Aldi so that's it, no more shopping for a week. H reckons tomorrow he starts his no spend days......well see about that one ;) the gorgeous bloke has done a load of tidying up, cleaning windows, dusting :T:T:T I told him he can do this every week if he wants to :rotfl:

Tea tonight will be chicken and pasta with onion, garlic and courgettes as I have some that need using up.

Hugs and spoons all round. Have a lovely Sunday OS or not.

    afternoon all.

had a crap day yesterday - think OH and I may be over.... so just want the ground to swallow me up at the moment. My mum has moved back to scotland temporarily to help with my grandad so might take pup and stay at her place for a while and see what happens. on top of that my dad (recovering alcoholic) had my sister over saturday night and she found a bottle of vodka in his bathroom. :(:(:(

    Life sucks sometimes.

House is a tip but i'm in no mood to sort it out. Will go for a drive i think...
