Can I get away with firing a BB gun at children?

(still amazed that these kids can't tell the difference between fat and heavily pregnant)

Don't forget that a lot of these kids probably come from families where most of the females over the age of about 14 are always pregnant and those that aren't are probably obese so it will all be one and the same to them.
  • What are the kids wanting ? - a reaction, so the best thing you can do is offer a benign smile and a look of amused indifference. These kids seek to portray themselves as adults and the only examples they can mimic, resort to unleashing foul-mouthed abuse and obscenity.

Without engaging in a response, if your look is one of amused indifference, it not only frustrates their wish to upset you, it also enables their behaviour to be highlighted to those around you, whereas any positive response justifies escalation in their eyes. The lesson they have yet to learn is that to be treated as adults, they must behave like them.

It may not be the easiest thing to do, but it's quite effective. There's no greater sin for a youth than to be seen to be boring when with their pals, and it's an insult you can apply without doing anything positive. A smile can be so hurtful. :)
Never ever give your card details to anyone over the phone, and check the reputation of any company you do intend to give them to.

A good swift kick up the ar5e.
  • I'd just pretend to be going into labour infront of them the next time they call you fat and shout abuse at you. They'll probably sh*t their pants and run away...and never bother you again (hopefully)

Best advice is to laugh at them.

No - if you fire a BB gun, someone could well call the police and say you have a gun, and think where that could lead!
Modern BB guns can be dangerous, can break the skin (my kids BB guns will go through a coke can), and could hit someone in the wrong place and cause a serious injury.
And then what happens if they decide to respond, or escalate it?
I hope you can find a solution to the problem, but that's not it.

This is very true a mate of ohs decided to shot a blank firing pistol and someone rang the police ...... a few minutes later there was armed police all around

Honestly oh his mate and brother all got arrested and banged up for the night.
So i would definetly think of another way to deal with it :)
  • Get on to the police and council. They have powers to stop groups of people gathering around place like you are describing.
I wouldn't confront them in your condition and if your husband did it, then its only going to lead to more problems for your family.

Does your local council have an anti-social behaviour team? they might be able to help. After all, it's entirely possible that others have complained
