Can I get away with firing a BB gun at children?

  • The best thing to do is call the police when ever this happens and advise your neighbours to do the same (if you get on with them).

Although they won't always be able to attend they target areas where they are getting the most calls. If you're not calling they don't know it's happening.

The more you call the more likely you are to get a response you want.

Just use the non-emergency number to report anti-social behaviour which most forces have made a priority at the moment.
  • Keep ringing and ringing and ringing the police until you get a response, make them do their job, not that its entirely their fault that they can't and are shortstaffed etc, that's the fault of this useless government, but even so, keep on and on and on and on until they are sick of you, log everything too, keep a diary. take pics of the perpetrators on your mobile. Set up a cctv in your inside of your window, cheap basic one plugs into your tv from maplins...

Having said that, I would definitely sort it out in my own way if it was me though., similar to suggestions already made on this, they need to be taught a lesson. And nothing is more frustrating than a system that doesn't work and where the victim is the one punished...perhaps a pan of boiling hot chip oil over their heads from you window above should move them along...:D and if you thought you saw a gun, then you could easily have been mistaken couldn't you...;)

OP I do hope you can get some peace, it sounds like a real nightmare xx

I blame the parents ofcourse, letting them run riot and not teaching them to respect others.
How can anybody give their child thing like bb guns, they sound lethal to me? Here Joey have a dangerous thing to play with

Little brats! I would have a word with the shop owner and ask them why they are continuing to serve them when they abuse you. After that, speak to the local comunity safety team. While the regular police may believe they have better things to do,the community safety team has a job to deal with these things. It's possible one of them has an asbo is about to get one.

If they ever threaten you with pyschical harm, even though they're children, and especially with you being pregnant, call the police, because they have to take that seriously.

I had this problem once, but only for a short time.
I walked towards them, and as I did, I took my fone out, held it up, and pretended to dial 999. They ran off, and never bothered me again!

Modern BB guns can be dangerous, can break the skin (my kids BB guns will go through a coke can), and could hit someone in the wrong place and cause a serious injury

You must feel comfortable allowing them to have and use such things. Do they also go to the local shopping parade to abuse pregnant women?

Maybe they use them in a safe manner in a garden or field with something behind the cans used as targets to stop them going out the property, not everyone is as irresponsible as you are suggesting. To suggest the poster's kids are little thugs because they take part in a pastime that thousands of kids have done for about a century is pretty abusive in my opinion.

With regards to the BB gun, it was the OPs husband that had the BB gun not the kids.

OP - calling the police because you have been called fat a couple of times seems a bit OTT to me.

Have you stood up for yourself and told them to stop?

I think being surrounded and verbally abused by feral chavlings is a bit more intimidating than just being called fat and being pregnant is an emotional time for many women.
