I just got back from Barcelona after a great two night stay. The coach is easy from Girona airport to the north station in Barcelona, which is very central. However it cost something like 22 EUR return and around 1 hr 15mins, as its 100 Km. I would stay in Girona and have a great lunch and some sightseeing. Shouldn't be difficult to eat well and see some museums. Check the weather beforehand - the weekend was very warm, and perfect for walking around.

Great day out in Dublin again yesterday, went to visit the Guinness store....OH tried "The Black Stuff " for the first time and now agrees with me that its good.....

If you are travelling on this particular offer then the taxes were/are included, so there is nothing else to pay.

With regards to your second paragraph, for normal flights the tax is for the flight, not each way.

I have just been on the wensite and found it was £7 each to come back now on a later flight from barcelona girona (as a 6am start wasnt good) Just thought if anyone else was in the same boat, cheaper flights are now listed. HTH:beer:

He's not changing his booking. He's booking a later flight and not cancelling or changing the earlier flight. He'll be a no show for the earlier flight.

Thanks for this - we have just booked flights back from Barcelona on the next day rather than making it just a one day visit. Found a great 4* hotel too. Just won't show up for the original flight home. Total cost of flights for 6 people was 74 euros including credit card charges.

I thought my trip for 2 people for 2,48 was pretty good! I even nearly started to like Ryannair and it was all very easy and no problems at all.

Got one more for this weekend so fingers crossed.

If anyone is flying to Gerona for a short period and doesn't want to trek to barcelona -tarragona is just up the road and is very nice , even sunny in jan sometimes and good food.-In january we had a very cheap hotel.

Tarragona is south of Barcelona, and rather further than I'd want to travel on a day trip from Gerona ! I think you must have landed at Reus instead.

Worth checking a map for these quick getaway days, as the airports can be anything but near the big cities cited by the budget airlines.

We had such a great w/e in barcelona I just re-booked on the £10 each way deal. Happy to give any city tips if anyone is interested...
