What time do you consider a lie in at the weekends?

Me and OH get up whenever we like at the weekends. If any of the stunts suggested here like putting the hoover on, etc happened there would be trouble. If either of us happens to get up first, we don't 'wait around' to get the day started.
We both work hard all week. I don't know why some people have a problem with their partner catching up on some much needed rest.I wouldn't dream of crashing around to wake him up deliberately, and him neither. Im not sure why some people feel guilty for having a lie in?
ETA some of the suggestions on here are completely bezerk. Smearing yogurt on your husbands face, and sending the dog up because he came home drunk the night before? Sounds more like torture! The opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
I am so lucky. My OH gets up with DD every day of the week, so in the week I get up about 8.30 and at weekends I get up around 9.30/10. Still need more though as I am a bit insomniac and tend not to sleep before 1am whereas Oh is snoring next to me from 11. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

hubby leaves me til i wake at weekends unless we have specific plans. My natural waking time is about 11am. All week I have to get up at 7 am and I love my weekend lie ins.0

Do you have kids?If so do they sleep in too?
And re my dog/yoghurt thing..not denying that I may well have a warped sense of humour but I thought it was hilarious :rotfl: It wasn't "just" because he came in drunk...he came in late, missed something he had promised to do with DS,it was his turn to get up with the kids after me having only a few hours sleep that week but was absolutely hanging so I got up and I was annoyed..so he got the dog

Well hopefully by the time my kids are 19 or so hubby and I will be able to do the same as you and lie in till we're ready to get up~sounds lovely
But for now it's actually quite stressful trying to keep three young kids quiet so hubby can sleep..hate hate HATE having to Shhh them,it's their weeklend too afterall!Plus we don't get much time together during the week so weekends are too precious to spend Zzzz. They're only little for such a short time we make the most of every weekend doing family stuff

I haven't read the whole thread....
.....OMG - you are all wierd! A proper lie in is past noon!
'I got a lie in till 8am' Ehh? 8am is an early get up!
Thankfully DS has my lazy gene, so we often snooze until 10am, 11am, 12 noon, sometimes later on a weekend.
We both REALLY struggle to get up in the week :rotfl:I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Not wanting to struggle all week is a good reason to NOT sleep until noon to me!
If one normall gets up at 5:30 ish, seven is a delicious lie in, but not enough to make one sluggish and inactive all day.
Lie ins much pas that really disrupt my sleep patern, which means I'm playing catchup for ages, an feeling tired for a few days. I'd rather have an early night than a lie in really, none of the horrid after effects!0
