Awwww :) bless you! What was it like?

We are having no evening guests at all, the wedding is in the country (where I'm from) and the reception is about 45 minutes away from the church, so it wouldn't be fair to ask anyone to travel all that way just for an evening do.

It was a really cute dress, not wedding, but could easily be made it with the right material etc. I think it was a dior pattern as there was an advert for 40% off the dior patterns. It was a 50's style, shorter than the one in the Blog you like, but similar. I also got my material for my 1st wedding from said shop, which is probably why I thought about you.

I see what you are saying about guests. Our two venues are about 10 minutes drive apart. I have a wedding car from a friend of a friend for me to ceremony and then for both of us on way to hotel after ceremony. I have decided to get OH and our boys and the best man a SURPRISE limo to take them to the town hall. I am so excited about the idea as I know it will blow the kids socks off and it will stop OH fretting as they serve a glass of champers!

I think they are gorgeous. If we hadn't decided to go for a 1930's theme I may well have been tempted to go for more of a 1940 or 1950s dress. I think they are fab.

I just didn't think it was fair that I got to rock up in a cool car but they would have to go in our regular family car. They drive around for an hour before, chilling and having a chance to mess with all the stuff in the car. They are really bling on the inside (YIKES!) but nice on the outside. Well, I hope so.

  • Hi Wanchai. I have been lurking around on your thread for a while but haven;t ever posted. Although my budget is a bit smaller than yours (trust me if I had the money I could easily spend it, but I don't and we are trying to be sensible!) having said that, despite our budget differences I think we have very similar wedding ideas.

Have you used Pinterest at all? I use it to piece together all the different pretty things I find, I have yet to wrestle down all of my ideas into one theme as I like so many things I want them all! If anyone is intersted in the random thought's I have here is the link to my pinterest page http://pinterest.com/badgernpuddles/wedding-ideas/

It is addictive once you start! :)
:) Trying to be good and watch the pennies, but guilty of falling off the wagon every so often! :p
