Just like to say...I did receive excellent service from them today...I know they get a lot of bad press...just wanted to put the other side of the coin
I refer to my byline below ...

    Ad hominem
An attack upon an opponent in order to discredit their arguement or opinion. Ad hominems are used by immature and/or unintelligent people because they are unable to counter their opponent using logic and intelligence.
  • I have just spoken to yodel after my delivery which on their site states it is being delivered today but it is not. They stated to me that it was the forwarding companies fault which i have just found out is untrue.the forwarding company informed me that YODEL collect from them at 5.30pm every day so the delay was YODELS fault. The parcel is a car battery which i ordered saturday for delivery tuesday. The car is parked (with a flat battery) in an area which is going to have all of the parking suspended wednesday 11th feb.Yodel said that "oh thats a problem for you isnt it".The customer service rep told me that they are unable to get in contact with the courier to ask if he could deliver early at my request and i was informed NO we cannot contact the couriers, which is obviosly untrue. They do not care about the supplier or customer. The attitude is we have your parcel so you will have to wait untill we deliver it,I would never order anything from a company on line if they use YODEL as a delivery comapny.I have e-mailed their complaints dept but i dont hold out much hope. They also told the forwarding company that if i wanted an apology I WOULD HAVE TO PHONE THEM.What a cheek.I would recommend anyone ordering on line to check who the final courier is an if it is YODEL dont use them.

So you used a top secret guaranteed Yodel 48 hour service?
No you used their standard service which isn't guaranteed.
Parcel delivery within 2-3 working days throughout most of UK's mainland.

Even better,it is on their prohibited items list......

Today I had a problem with them for the first time. I refused a damaged parcel, the driver is seen loading it back into the van on CCTV, then marks it as delivered and left safe. I've just got back from the Police Station having reported the driver for theft. No other choice really. Was Southampton Depot.

Well you did. I would assume the driver did so to get paid for the delivery.......
You have now reported someone for theft without any proof

I know that Yodel once had a backlog of over 30,000 emails from customers.
  • One of their drivers routinely logs fake "attempted delivery" . Now the people who review the GPS tracking are useless. After they wasted two days of my life on each delivery with "no show" yet their GPS supposedly proving attempts to deliver ... it simply occurred to me to ask their on-screen chat bods for the exact coordinates logged when the fraudster "attempted to deliver" and the actual delivery. Well well well - they did log completely different spots !!!!
That is something everyone should do - ask for GPS coordinates when they press "attempted delivery" button and check those on Google maps - very entertaining! ;) Mind boggles how their depot bosses are so clueless!!!! Having google the company I wonder if it is not the case of the fish rotting from the head - just consider who the owners/directors are ......
  • Great, I need a management email or normal landline number for the head office or Basildon depot (the boss, not some lowly slave with a script to regurgitate) - my mobile does not do non-geographical numbers at all - I have print screened GPS coordinates on google maps of fake attempted delivery and actual delivery. There is a rogue depot Yodel must sort. Totally fed up with the fraud who claims attempted deliveries here - I was beginning to think it was faked at depot level with perhaps no actual driver even in existence to cover Saturday round, but he most likely parks as far as he can get by road and generates fake report - now proven by yodel own GPS tracking!!!!

Hi, Yodel Representative, I hope you can help me.

Today I left a parcel at my office's reception to be picked up by Hermes. There was a massive collection note on the parcel clearly stating that this is going back to Asos (returns) via Hermes.

Somehow a Yodel courier decided that this parcel is for Yodel and even convinced the receptionist to allow him to pick it up! The receptionist questioned him several times and pointed out that the parcel states Hermes, but he very convincingly confirmed that this is indeed a parcel for him!

The note he left stated that the parcel is going to Bournemouth University (not Asos)!

I called Yodel mere minutes after that happened, was on hold for 15 mins and by the time I spoke with someone it was apparently too late to turn the courier back. I am now waiting to hear back in regards to my parcel's whereabouts.

I find this quite shocking to be honest! To mistake Hermes for Yodel and Asos for Bournemouth University!

I have a photo of the note that was left that might help locating the parcel, is there anywhere I can email it to? If the parcel gets lost I cannot get a refund from Asos as Yodel have nothing to do with them on this occasion!
