My parcel arrived in my local depot, less than 2 minutes from my house, at 00:26am on Monday, says the online tracker. It's now Thursday, and it's still sat there, 2 days overdue its delivery date. I've tried to contact my local depot at least 20 times, with numerous numbers, to no avail. Irritated, I then turned to Yodel's numerous 0844, 0871 and 0845 numbers, only to find that, when I rang them, I got the textbook 'The Number You Have Called Is Busy' message, with that really annoying beep. Ringbacks don't work. I appreciate that it is Christmas, and there are a lot of deliveries to be made, but by half past 5 I was absolutely furious. I then found a set of new numbers, one of which I phoned and was put through to Collect+, where an adviser gave me the same telephone I had been trying. Then, I found a landline number for the head office switchboard (0151 290 8500), which, after 10 minutes of waiting, put me through to an incredibly irritating message stating, "Our offices are closed at the moment. Please try again between 7:30am and 10pm". By this point it is 6:30. I really am ready to scream at this company.
Does anybody know how I could get through to someone?0 -

Yodel (HDNL) are the most appalling company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
Out of 4 parcels being sent to me at work only one was delievered and that's because after 3 days of them claiming they tried to deliver and completely ignoring my instructions if there was nobody there I sat and waited at work until late in the evening. I don't believe they even bother to try and deliver most of the time. They say they leave cards but I've never seen one yet. The second parcel was a week in waiting and so called attempted deliveries before I told them to stuff it and asked Amazon for a refund. There are still two items out there somewhere in Yodels possesion but god knows where.
They told me their delivery times were 7am - 7pm. For a start, how many people are in the same place for 12 hours a day? Secondly, if their latest delivery is at 7pm why do they claim they tried to deliver to me at 8.30pm?
On my first order I was given the option to add instructions for delivery and almost carbon copied one of the suggestions I was given. As it hadn't arrived when I left work I left a note on the door to reiterate my instructions - both completely ignored.
The second one Amazon contacted them on my behalf twice to inform them they must deliver it the next day and it must be before 5pm. They didn't bother.
Unfortunatley two other people have ordered presents for me and had them sent straight from the companies to my work address for me thinking that was the best option. That's now two relatives who are left disappointed because I haven't received their gifts. Had I known they were doing that I would have told them not to due to Yodels complete incompetence.
I will not order a single item that will be shipped via Yodel and unfortunately as this now includes Amazon, who I used to be a very good customer of it's a shame.0 -
Update on my missing parcel and missing address :
Well according to Yodel it was delivered today and signed for by someone I have never heard of. No one on site has signed for my parcel and I would go so far as to say that no one would want to take a Boots package in and keep it as toothpaste, shampoo and girlie deo is not really anyone else's thing.
So I will go out on a limb and suggest that the driver finally gave up and lied.
Boots now want the money back for the parcel but I haven't had any parcel.......what a shocking company and one that might well end up costing me money for nothing but fresh air.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.

Similar thing has happened to me, Ordered a few items from a retailer, regretting it instantly after viewing my confirmation email with tracking number and seeing that Yodel are the chosen courier after reading reviews about them on this site. I hoped for the best as I thought its one of those things that will never happen to me! Well its happened! According to Yodels tracking page my items were dispatched on the 12th dec, and on 14th they were ''out for delivery'' then ''unable to gain timely access'' and then ''returned to depot''. And again this morning ''out for delivery'' then at 5:30pm this evening I refreshed the tracking page only to see ''DELIVERED - left with neighbour''. I have been at home ill today and yesterday and nobody has rang the bell or even attempted delivery and none of the neighbours have my parcel. I emailed yodel but then decided to ring them as I saw they were open until 8pm and unsurprisingly they are ''experiencing high volumes of calls'' so had to wait 10 mins to be told that the manager has to look into it, they wanted details of the items, size, colour, how many etc and then told me ''Someone will call you sometime next week''. I wasnt rude I just accepted their answer as probably nothing can be done at this time, but a call to the driver could've helped maybe. I will be writing a letter to the retailer tomorrow and hoping for some vouchers/part refund as I had to pay for this useless delivery and now either some stranger has received my items (which were meant for my girlfriends b'day) or they have not been delivered at all.0

I must start by saying excuse the language in my review at the time of writing this I am ast the livid degree of anger and at the point of baseball bat and companys address point.
I ordered items from 2 different companys, 1 being GAP and the other being Early Learning Centre. These was both ordered on the same day being the 9th December 2011 and neither on express delivery.
When I had received nothing from GAP by the 12th December I was getting anxious as I wanted them to wrap up for christmas, I looked on the email from GAP and found I could track my order which I did and as you guess - it had been delievered to me and signed for by me already that day.
Second parcel from Early Learning Centre I had a text saying that it was out for delivery on the 12th December 2011 and will be delivered by 9pm, well 9pm came and went and no parcel had been delivered so the next day I phoned ELC to be told it had been left at number 40 on my road and signed for by Lansdown, after knocking at the address which is only 2 doors down from me and the lovely asian lady who lives there telling me that she had been in all day that day and no one had knocked on her door. I phoned ELC again to advise that number 40 had not received any parcel for me and I was now very angry they advised that they would send it out again. Same thing happened - got a text message on the 20th December saying it would be delivered by 9pm that day and nothing arrived so at 20.59 i called ELC and was advised that they would chase it up, half and hour went by and I am not a patient person i will admit to you now I called back to be told that they would not be able to get the copy of the signature till tomorrow i was not happy and asked for the delivery company name and consignment number - Low and Behold guess who it was YODEL!!!!
ELC took another delivery address off me and said that they would get replacements sent out and YODEL will get a shock if they try the same thing at this address as CCTV is outside and inside the property!!
Anyway as YODEL website does not have a email address for complaints and you cant speak to a manager (believe I have tried) but i had been provided with an email address from a customer service person at YODEL for their tracking department so i could APPARENTLY get a copy of the signature for the GAP delivery of which they would not provide as i was not the sender i sent an email address to 2 different address that might be right for their customer service department which says the following:-
JD-000-228-994-960-8503 & JD-000-222-351-051-7609
SEE YOU B*ST*RDS AT YODEL THE ABOVE 2 PARCELS ARE FROM 2 DIFFERENT COMPANYS (GAP & EARLY LEARNING CENTRE) THE FIRST ON YOU APPARENTLY DELIVERED ON THE 20TH DECEMBER 2011 AT 4PM SIGNED FOR BY JAYNE AND THE SECOND ONE YOU APPARENTLY DELIVERED ON THE 12TH DECEMBER 2011 AT 15.45 SIGNED FOR BY PASCO
LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING N-E-I-T-H-E-R OF THSE PARCELS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED BY MYSELF - YOU COMPANY IS A LYING STEELIN BUNCH OF NO GOOD T*SS*RS! YOU BETTER FIND THE DRIVER WHO APPARENTLY DELIVERED THESE TO MY HOUSE AND GET THESE PARCELS DELIVERED TO ME BEFORE I FIND YOUR DEPOT AND GET THE DRIVER BY THE SCUFF OF THE NECK AND GET THE PARCELS MYSELF AS YOU ARE NOT LEAVING 2 LITTLE BOYS WITHOUT CHRISTMAS PRESENTS THIS YEAR JUST BECAUSE YOUR DRIVER CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY HIS OWN PRESENTS AND HAS TO STEEL OTHER PEOPLES PARCELS!!
I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PHONE CALLS TO YOUR COMPANY AND BEEN GIVEN RUBBISH CUSTOMER SERVICE ALONG WITH BEING TOLD !!!!!!!! LIKE I COULD EMAIL TRACKING AND GET A COPY OF THE SIGNATURE THEN PHONING BACK 48 HOURS LATER TO BE TOLD THAT I COULD NOT GET THIS AND IT HAD TO COME FROM THE COMPANY THAT SENT THE PACKAGE AND THEN NOT HAVING ANY ANSWER TO QUESTIONS I HAD ABOUT MY PARCELS!!
I AM TELLING YOU NOW YOU BETTER BE CONTACTING ME AND TELLING ME THE DRIVERS NAME SO I CAN CONTACT THE POLICE MYSELF OR I WILL FIND YOUR DEPOTS ADDRESS AND COME DOWN AND YOU WILL HAVE TO GET THE POLICE TO REMOVE ME BECAUSE I AM NOW NOT TAKING THIS LIGHTLY!
So lets see if i get an answer to this, if i dont as i previously worked for a courier company whom are alot better than YODEL and still have contacts there I will find the address one way or another and go to the depot! Dont know what it will achieve but will make me feel better!!!
People People People before you order anything off the internet please phone the company and ask what delivery company they use if it is YODEL dont order the item as you probably will not receive it.
I must also add that I have written to Watchdog and emailed every email address I have found on this thread.0 -

I share your concerns about Yodel - but somehow I think the content of your emails (if genuine) is not going to help you a great deal.0
