New Halifax Account Range?

Options
Following on from the FP thread, the Halifax website has a notice advising that the current bank account range is no longer available, and a new account range is available from the 12th September. Any insiders able to give any insight on what's going to be on offer?

Reward account holders will have to upgrade to Reward Plus @ £7/month to get their £5 if they deposit £1500.

    Only joking. I hope.
  • All savings are going/changing. BOS are loosing reward/urca in favour of lloyds-style AVAs. HFX are keeping current accounts as they are.

No accounts that are already open will be changed over, though.

Will they use Lloyds or HBOS score criteria and systems for internal scoring and stuff?

The halifax accounts are changing too so the website suggests...

Savagej told us about this ages ago.... However everyone gave him/her a hard time saying it was a load of cobblers.

I think alot of posters may owe Savagej an apology because they was clearly correct. ;-)

All I'd suggest is that Bank of Scotland customers wanting to open an URCA or Reward account should do it in branch on Friday - unless it's already too late!

Halifax reward/urca is remaining, although the application system is down as of tomorrow.

These accounts are no longer available for new applications.

Our account range is being updated. You will be able to apply for accounts from our new range from Monday 12th of September. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
