It's not just current accounts that are changing; so are savings accounts for both Halifax and BOS according to the websites.

    Thanks stclair.

I wonder what Monday will bring, I wonder if the Visa Electron card will actually disappear from their range. I think there is a good chance it will, it is not economical to run LTSB on-line Visa Debit and an Electron card as well. After all LTSB dropped Electron as it was seen as inferior by some.

It would be nice if Halifax introduced one of the features on Lloyds TSB accounts, Save the Change.
  • All savings are going/changing.

Any ideas what changes there'll be to the savings range? I read about a month ago there's going to be a competitive savings product range.

Are there going to be 1 year fixed term deposits around 3.5%?

I just wondered, would the branches not already have all of the new literature to be put out on Monday, so should somone go into one tomorrow and ask for a current account brochure they will get the new one or at least someone will tell them the details of the account. I am particularly interested in what their new basic account is going to be? Is it going to have ATM restrictions too?

I tried this by calling for a brochure, nothing until Monday apparently. Empty shelves are abundant in halifax then and we never had no looting here neither :rotfl:

On Monday the Bank of Scotland basic bank account will be the Bank of Scotland Cash Account, which I can see mirroring LTSB right down to the ATM usage. Just got the name of it, no more details so will still need to wait and see.
