"The largest superstore in Scotland, this vast 60,000 sq ft site houses an unparalleled selection of Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Malaysian, Korean, Japanese and other specialitiy products. You will find every ingredient you could possibly need be it fresh, frozen, chilled, dried, preserved or canned."
Most of the shelled seafood are kepted alive in glass tanks. My son spends ages looking at them. Just as good as deep sea world LOLA smile and manners doesnt cost any thing0 -
Does anyone know about any website to make an on-line order for Thai stuff? We love Thai food. We normally visit Thailand once a year.
Thanks in advance.
You will find many of the chinese supermarkets will stock thai products. The larger companies have websites that u can order food off.A smile and manners doesnt cost any thing0 -
Hi Everyone
Just came across this great thread. I live in Croydon and there are great asian and turkish shops along London rd in Thornton heath.
The best is the Turkish pide (bread) freshly made on site that I send my husband to get every saturday. they also have huge tubs of hommous and Tsatziki (sp??) that are great tasting and much cheaper than the supermarkets.0 -
Double that, forgot about london rd!No one said it was gonna be easy!0

I did a search and found http://www.thai4uk.com/acatalog/shop.html. Pretty good website. Varities items and good price too (much cheaper than buying thai fragance rice and fish sauce from Sainsbury's and tesco). Though delivery cost £4.95 for 20kg.
Will try to order mine soon.0 -
i buy all my fruit and vegetables from my asian grocery store. i haven't seen any greens that aren't cheaper compared to tesco.
and it has TASTE. i don't have to wait TWO WEEKS for their fruit to ripen.0 -
Theres a large one (I dont think it's sweetmart though) at the top of Canterbury, used to be a petrol station, up by the gates nr the train station. (opp end to the Ashford exit) HTH
ETA, There are several smaller ones in Northdown road, Cliftonville, nr Margate too, if you travel down that far at all, one of them does huge bags of lemons and limes really cheapMight have to get my sis to pop in and grab me a bag tomorrow.
I love this thread. Do you mean East or West train station?QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0 -
Got one in Derby on Normanton road where I buy a large bag of fennel seeds for £2.80 and make fennel tea which is far cheaper than buying fennel tea bags
I visit this one aswell...... also the one next door to the chemist (cant remember what its called). Been in this morning to stock up on spices. Always very helpful and very cheap:T0 -

Great thread
Does anyone know of any in Reading? I've heard of the Ana Oriental one (down Whitley Street, South Reading), but wondered if anyone had been to this, or knew of any others?
As I don't drive, I'd rather not go to London or too far afield - it would be a nightmare getting the stuff back from much outside of Reading!
Thanks
