Do all buses have only right hand indicators? In Brum they seem to indicate to pull out as they pull in to stop and keep the indicator on regardless of how long they're at the stop.0

i live at the top of a hill, at the bottom two lanes go into one and then we go up the hill in one lane, with traffic coming down going from one lane going down to (eventually) 3 lanes at the bottom.
i was in the lane everyone moves into, a car (y reg passat) came from behind up alongside me, i was doing 35 so hardly breakneck speed.
i stayed where i was. at consistent speed, and he is trying to shove over, there was no-one behind me, so all he had to gain at best was the gap in front of me.
as i could see his lane dissappear and he was still very clearly not for budging i blasted him with my horn, he had two options of where to go if he didn't want to slow down- unfortunatly these were my drivers side and the other side of the road.
he blated his horn back, i showed him my middle and index fingers, he had just tried to knock me and my beloved stilo off the road.
every other time i go on this road i see the same kind of move pulled, at best all he had to gain was a place in front of ONE CAR!!!
what's the point???things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok

i hate the 'maxxed' cars and the idiots who drive them, just the same as everyone else, but even worse than them are the drivers of expensive mpv's and 4x4's.

I just want to some up my most hated thing.....
Sunday afternoon drivers. I usually get stuck behind them every weekend.
Oh, one other. Women drivers. Useless, totally useless
Now I'm a woman but I have to reluctantly admit that in my years of driving experience 90% of the drivers who refuse to let me into their lane have been women. I don't know why. Maybe they think that by doing that they are proving to be "hard" or maybe they're just jealous of my car!The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0 -
My particular annoyamces (in no particular order) are
Middle lane hoggers- even when the road is empty at 5am in the morning I have seen people driving in the middle lane
Using mobiles without handsfree especially if combined with drinking coffee/smoking cigarette/anything but concentrating on road
Ungrateful drivers who don't say thanks when you let them in or out of traffic
People who join motorways 2 lanes at a time
Drivers who leave it to the last minute to pull in when the road reduces in number of lanes (either permanently or due to roadworks) meaning you have to hang on your brakes so as not to have accident. Equally when the traffic is q'ing in that situation and people race pass the q'ing traffic and expect to be let in at the last minute- safe to say I never let them in!
Volvo drivers- sorry but have to agree with others0 -

Aargh that's my gripe too! What makes them think they can pull out in front of someone who's had a 10 mile headstart? The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0 -

Having a lane completely empty and queueing way before roadworks causes even more tailbacks.
Why not use all the road and then filter in one by one as you approach the coned-off section?

when you're driving upto a two lane crossroads, and you're in the right lane behind one person who stops at the lights, and suddenly realises that they are turning right, and starts to indicate:mad:
leaving you sitting there at the lights whilst everyone passes you on the insideWhere the !!!! has the Shrug gone!just doesn't cut it...:think::huh: and these don't come close

Agree with spotter , that both lanes should be used which is why 2 lorries sometimes block both lanes, and I do it too in my car sometimes. one vehicle needs to block the outside lane and move in line with a car in the lane on the left. There are quite often signs saying "use both lanes" but IMO that is not an excuse to just overtake 200 cars.
Chompie, you take that risk when you use the right hand lane, if you want to be guaranteed to avoid this just use the left hand lane, (like everyone else who is going straight over). That near empty lane on the right looks tempting doesn't it, but you know the risk of using it. Quite often on the other side of the junction parked cars are on the left hand lane, which means the cars in the left have to switch to the right, and people like you more often than not just zoom through.0 -

What bothers me about Baby on Board things is that it somehow implies that the life of a child is more precious than the life of an adult - controversial I know but thats my view.
Also, if someone is a bad, tailgatey driver they arent going to pay attention to it anyway, they will still drive badly/up your a$$Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0
