Halifax Faster Payments this weekend

Just to let people who don't log into their online banking much that this weekend there will be no faster payments from Halifax accounts this weekend.
All DD and Standing Orders will still go out, and you can transfer internally between your accounts.
So if you want to make faster payments make them today if possible!
I half expect this board to be saying 'faster payments on Halifax not working :mad:' threads! So that's why I'm posting this to warn those people!

Internal transfers will also be down for a few hours around midnight on sunday, so if you do need to transfer - dont do it then.100% G33K:D:D:D:D

Will inbound faster payments (ie faster payments sent to my Halifax current account) still be working normally on Friday and Saturday?0
-
I can't remember reading anything specifically about incoming, but if faster payments are down that implies both ways I think. I would assume they wont be to be on the safe side!0

@strawberrylane,
I looked for that too, and didn't find the answer.
It ought to be safe to assume all inward payments will be processed as normal simply because doing otherwise would leave the bank in chaos - as thousands of scheduled inward payments (like salary) over which customers exert no control failed to reach their recipients and scheduled outward payments would be stopped too - and no bank can be that foolish, Shirley?.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -

@Milarky
I agree. I am assuming that inward faster payments will continue to be received successfully. I am expecting inbound standing order payments which will be sent by faster payments on Friday or Saturday. I have no control over these and could not stop them. So, I assume they will be received successfully.
I did call into my local branch earlier today to ask the question, but I was not sure the person I spoke to really knew the answer.
Anyway, time will tell!!
And don't call me Shirley.0 -
