regarding faster payments from within halifax i know when transfering from a current account to savings account its now instantly but is it the same from a savings account to a current account. I recall earlier this year it took nearly 2-3 days for it to appear in the current account.0

When I've transferred from a Halifax savings account to one of my Halifax Reward Current accounts it's been immediate. Don't know off hand what the limit is for how much you can transfer.0 -
thats fine i know previously it took a day or even more to show up so hopefully since the changeover its improved.0

I transferred out of my Guaranteed Saver Reward yesterday and it was a smooth, efficient and instant process.
Bit by bit things are getting better.
- Online Saver account opening process was the best new account opening I've experienced
- Faster Payments seem more reliable and allow larger amounts to be transferred
- The interest rate is now displayed on my Regular Saver account
- Two years worth of transactions can be viewed on most accounts (although not my ancient passbook relic)
- Transfers between all accounts are immediate, including Guaranteed Saver
- Transfers can be made to ISAs, just not from the dropdown menu on the front page of the online banking
- The ability to export statements is working again
- Mobile alerts provide more options0 -
Any emails stating they are from Halifax and asking for specific information can categorically be classed as phishing and are best sent to your junk email folder as quickly as possible...:A
