Big ((((hugs)))) to you Valentine and your granny, hope she'll be ok xxxx

  • Morning all,
(((((hugs))))))) to Valentine and Anniestar and anyone else who needs one.
It's windy here but it's also suddenly going pitch black at times as these horrible clouds roll over - I was quite worried taking the kids to school.

Don't feel great today - cold, achy and also very tired - might head back to bed for an hour. Dh is really ill with his sinuses which has been going on for months - I have finally got him to agree to go to the doctor's next week.

Was planning on stir fried rice for lunch (leftover from yesterday) but I might just go for a tin of Heinz tomato - not so OS:rolleyes: Dinner will be sweetcorn and ricotta lasagne. Luchboxes today contain: tomato soup, cucumber sticks, croissant with ham and cheese baked into them (dough leftover from Christmas) and ds1 has one of those yoghurt "Squashums" which came free if you did a Tesco internet order on 2nd Jan - I wouldn't buy them - £1.88 for 6 little round strawberries.

It's going to be one of those days - just tried to get into the internet bank and it says I entered my details incorrectly. I didn't:mad:  So I'll have to phone them later and get them to unlock it again

Need to wash the kitchen floor today, Dyson the stairs (it's a 3 storey house:mad: ) and dust every surface - you could write your name in them

    Have a good day everyone

    :D Morning all

Valentine - hugs to you and your family.

PP - good luck at the hospital

Lillibet - I've had that problem before. DD turns the volume on the stereo (which we have a timer on which acts as alarm) either waaaay up or waaaay down. So we either hit the ceiling or sleep in completely.

sneaky day off work cos I dropped DD at her new playgroup - it's mornings only (thursday and friday). I've to pick her up at 11:30 today so I have just about 2 hours to...... iron. Lucky me! (Oh, and chat to you guys)

    Don't get too blown about.

Need to sort out dinner cos when I did my meal plan I forgot I would be off and have the kids so we need a full family meal and not just something for DH and I. Got some broccoli soup in the freezer. I'll pull that out and make some parmesan toasts. I'll have a browse for pudding too. We don't often have dessert but today feels like a good pudding day.

    Morning all

Very windy here today too - ferries all been cancelled and there's talk of "operation stack" on the motorway again. Another one that didn't sleep well last night, what with the wind, DH snoring and me coughing half the night away, I too feel a little wooly.

DH has gone back to bed, I'm just about to put some washing going and sweep the kitchen floor. Will have a bath to warm me up and then give the bathroom a wipe round (the steam helps to loosen everything). Then it's a sit down with some crocheting I think and watch a film. Must load the SC up for dinner too.

    Hugs to those in need.

    Brekkie - Toast and cereal
    Lunch - Egg mayo sarnies
Dinner - SC beef stew and dumplings

    morning all,

(((hugs))) to valentine and anyone else who'd like one

feel rubbish today - got up early to take OH to work so I can have the car but have crawled back into bed and intend to stay here for a while!! It's horrid horrid horrid out there!!!! Overnight my eyes have puffed up and my nose has got very sore, so no doubt I'm coming down with something. Have also had a feeling of nausea in my tummy for the last 4 days or so, although I've not actually been sick... hope that goes soon! Have been drinking ginger tea as I heard that was good for sickness :o

Big plans for today including a fair bit of uni work, but how much gets done is very much negotiable :rotfl: need to do a couple of small assignments, and could do with doing some revision but my head feels so wooly that nothing will stay in!!

have a good day everyone - stay safe in this nasty weather (I bet it doesn't even get light today  )

    Morning

Been awake half the night because of the wind and the rain. Got soaked this morning taking DD to school, but typical now that I am in the house it seems to have dried up a bit.

My thoughts are with you valentine. It was a year ago in February that we were in the same situation with my granny, so I fully understand what you are going through.

Not sure what got planned for today I am feeling very lazy, but the house is a mess, so I suppose I should get it organised.

Hope you all have a nice day.
  • Hello peeps

Just a quick one today (((hugs))) to all those who need them.

Back at work today and really struggling to get brain in gear :( thought I'd have a quick read through here while I'm finishing my brew.

Have tried out new sc for the first time today, so hopefully there should be some yummy veggie stew waiting for me when i get home :T have got a bit of a busy day a head at work but hoping i'll be awake enough by the time I get home to do a bit of flying and set up a home organiser... have decided new year new me and after all the rubbish I've been through the last 3 years I'm determined to get my self organised and get my life back on track :)

Hope you all have a good day and don't get too blown away

    take care
