Good morning everyone,
twink - think PP had her birthday last year (and i think she is younger than todays PP!!!)
PP - good luck at the hospital, hope you and OH are feeling better.
Well, i can join in the bad nights sleep gang, i dont sleep well anyway, but with the wind howling around like it was, no chance!!!! Do feel a bit woolly now, but hopefully will wake up soon when little one gets here.
Have a couple of mystery shops to do today, but little one is at nursery so will give me chance to get the first one done without any fuss (the second one is a food one, so thats dinner sorted then!!!) Hopefully, will then get chance to have a rest before picking her up.
Luckily the house is tidy, and moggins fly challenge is one that i cant really do (upstairs, cant do when im working) but will be able to bring some sorting out that needs to be done downstaris, so that solves that problem, and also (hopefully) gets rid of another hot spot.
Right, must finish my cuppa before little one gets here,
Hope everyone has a lovely day - stay safe in this wind (and im sure worse is to come in Feb!!)
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all.
PennyPincher good luck at the hospital.
DLB watch that fence today, with this wind even more of it could come down
It's horrendous out there. I wish DS didn't have to walk to school but I just cant fit in driving him there and getting DD ready for school too.
I had to repair his school coat last night, he'd half torn the pocket off, a real swine of a job and not my best work ever.
It's a good day for staying in and doing the housework!Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
day off today. few things to do. just checked bank statement and college have taken the wrong fees off!
£150 too much! so will be on the phone later.
must post cheque for holiday villa. booked one last night - owner phoned me from florida to confirm!! wish I was there now.
hoping to get a hairdressers appointment. had phone call from mum last night to say my dad's old auntie had died. 102! until the last few years she had still been so active....and such a lovely lady, always something nice to say to everyone. So funeral is tomorrow.
other than that the weather is so awful out there I expect to spend the day indoors doing some studying.x x x0 -
Good morning windswept OSers!
We were all woken at about 5 by the front door being blown in by the wind! The noise was horrendous and even DD who can sleep through anything was woken up.
So, a new stronger lock is on the agenda today!
I have clients booked in all day, so not much time for flylady and stuff, but I managed to get enough housework done yesterday to convince them that the cleaner had been in, so success there!
I hope everyone has a good day, and that people don't have too much storm damage (with the exception of DLB's witch's fence of course!).Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Good Morning All
Yes I was woken by the wind also - not looking forward to the school run. Hope it goes by tomorrow as am trying out a new riding school and horses do get a bit fidgety if its windy.
Although had bad sleep am feeling quite energised at the mom. DW emptied kitchen tidied and wm will be on in a min. This morning after running a couple of errands will be hoovering whole house and washing floors. Then need to do some urgent paperwork. Dont think will have time to iron later as have got Kitchens Direct coming around to look at my kitchen. Dont have any intention of using them as they will prob be 3 x as dear as what I want to pay, but hopefully will get some ideas from them. You never know they might surprise me.
Both children have got friends round for tea tonight so its burgers and chips. Stocked up yesterday on some organic goats milk icecream from a local farm so thats dessert sorted.
Off now to dry my hair though with this wind I dont know why Im bothering. Have a great day and hope it goes ok at the hospital PP.0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
It seems the whole of the uk is being battered by these winds at the same time. I'm another one who got no sleep because of it. Just glad I got myself organised last night so there isn't much to do this morning. I really don't feel like doing much at all.
PP good luck at the hospital.
I hope everyone manages to stay safe today and damage is kept to a minimum. I have a long drive to get to my second job today - its out in the wilds with lots of trees. Hope they all stay standing!
Have a thrilling Thursday. x"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning All:hello:
Well, not the best start to the day, Hubby gets up for work at 6.15 as usual, potters about a bti getting washed & dressed etc, goes into kitchen & 10 minutes later comes belting back upstais swearing his head off, Spud had been at the alarm clock & it was actually 7.45!! (:rotfl:) He's now gone off in a blaze of screeching tyres....oh dear:p:o:rolleyes:
Got the carpets & sofa being steam cleaned at 9am this morning, I know at £75 it's not the most money saving option but it's much more thorough than renting a rug doctor & it is cheaper than new carpets:o, then as we can't walk on them for 2 hours I'm off to the shopping centre with a BIG list of bits & peices, a birthday pressie for my firends daughter (hoping for a late sales bargain), butons & ribbons to finish my new cushion covers (free fabric from a friend & I machine stitched them myself:T), find my birthday pressie from my parents (they can't find the new babyliss straightner-hairdryer so are giving me the money to get it myself) plus lots of other bits & bobs. Plus the first weigh-in of my self administered diet, I'm using the Boots scales to get accurate readings & to prevent temptation of hopping on the bathroom scales every 5 minutes!:o
Got friends comming for a dinner party on saturday as it's my brithday, yesterday made the after diner chocolates (oh dear they won't be good for my diet!:o:p:D) & the meringues but wasn't thrilled with the meringues so might do them again tonight.
Dinner is a turkey stir fry.
Good luck PP, thinking of you.
Have a good day everyone:wave:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -
Morning all:wave:
Not had much chance to read the dailies properly for a few days, so (((hugs))) to those in need.
Managed to get sleep last night - took myself off to bed at 8.30pm, with a book and went to sleep at 10. Alarm went off at 7 - Bliss:j
Don't have to rush about this morning as boys go to school with someone else today. So, after they are out of the door, I shall have a leisurely shower and hair wash. Need to do some more general cleaning and change beds/put WM on. Need to go shopping later and am picking up a freecycled desk lamp
Right, will get the boys' lunch boxes done cos the bread should be cold enough to slice now. Have a great day if you can and don't get blown away
