    Spotted this 0800 Directory Enquiries number. Haven't tried it yet.

    BT.com and Yell.com for huge numbers of free look ups. I f i'm out I use my free minutes on my mobile to ring a friend and ask them to look up number online or in directory while I wait

    The pay-as-you-go option gives you free directory enquiries and free calls to other Tesco Talk users.

    But their peak calls to 01/02 and mobile numbers are expensive,and they dont offer free evening and weekend calls.
