Today I need/should/want to do:
[STRIKE]DW[/STRIKE]
laundry x 6 (3 done, 2 ready to go out and one waiting)
get clothes ready for tomorrow (DS2's and mine) - almost
[STRIKE]tea[/STRIKE]
find out if school needs notice for DS2 to start taking sandwiches
(make up packed lunch if they don't)
make a list of all the things DS2 could have in his packed lunch
buy some eggs
make meringue (want to make a pudd with strawberries, meringue and mascarpone)
make a loaf cake and/or some biscuits or similar
sort money for tomorrow
[STRIKE]go to the church event next to DS2's school (they're raising money for roof repairs)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]a HHC or two[/STRIKE] changed beds and put stuff away
school stuff
save jojo's emoticons to word doc for future use
I acquired a bag of eating apples at the church, so it looks like crumble for pudd. Just the main course to sort out, then. Crumble tomorrow or Tuesday now.0 -
Ok. List update:
[STRIKE]put up new smoke alarm[/STRIKE] (DH needs to do this but needs BIG kicks up the @r$e as he isn't doing anything at the mo
)
walk the dog
meal plan for week
[STRIKE]food shop[/STRIKE]
DW on
clear up kitchen WIP
clean upstairs bathroom sink done
Ok. that's a start. i haven't done a mealplan as such, but i did look at what we already had, and think about what we needed before I went shopping
DH has put up the new smoke alarm and cut the grass  He is now laying the paving slabs as stepping stones to the summerhouse, before the garden gets too boggy & we can't get to it! I was hoping to have the summerhouse sorted with electrics & insulation by now, but we sort of run out of funds
DH seems a little happier for doing something useful, so we both win
He is saying that he will book a docs appointment tomorrow (he has been saying that all week now).
OK - I think I will do an HHC in the bathroom and maybe finish off the kitchen.
Off I go!0 -
Kitchen surfaces wiped down, downstairs floors hoovered somewhat sketchily
sitting room windows wiped with vinegar as they've been looking very cloudy, but there didn't seem to be much dirt coming off in the paper. Kitchen and hall floors washed. Downstairs loo bleached.
I really want to get rid of the living room carpet as I'm sure that's what makes it feel so dirty. Need to empty the hoover and wave it around upstairs at some point, then the house is clean enough to be left.
I must remember to clear the bathroom window sill and take down the bedroom curtains in the morning so there is nothing in the way of the decorator.0 -
Thats the bedroom and bathroom done and a tidy everywhere.
Keep safe in these winds we are expecting everyone.
Just been going through my photos and had a few tears over Mam but they were happy ones remembering Xmas, Birthdays and Christenings.
Off to make a lasagne now then to catch up on some tv I recorded.
Hugs, spoons and sticks where needed.

i totally gutted my bathroom and did the floor, really need to stop putting off the spare room as its not going to get better unless i actually do something. so off for a slightly longer HHC in here till 4pm. there isnt really much that needs sorting out in here, it just needs tidying up rather than carp all over the floor.
