I'm back again, had an awful week so chose to stay away a while. Had a night out last night & was able to let my hair down so I'm feeling a bit better

We have started he flooring & the dining area is done, under the stairs too so just the living room to do which DP said he will start Monday. I'm not 100% happy as I think we should have boarded it out first because the floor under is extremely springy, suppose time will tell. Having wall units that are over 2m long and need taking apart in sections is time consuming just getting the one emptied, apart then back together

Tomorrow DP is out but I'm staying in I think, just can't be bothered. Think I will work on emptying the wall unit in the living room to move and do the kitchen.

Oh & Pen Pen I hope Texas is after this storm has gone!

    Hope you're all well xxx
One day I might be more organised...........

She does love potato cakes - but a proper recipe would be enthusiastically accepted (although there would, I presume, have to be leftover potato for this? :))

Jojo she sounds incredibly like my daughter who, at a much younger age insisted I teach her how to cook the stuff she liked - in case I died...

    Morning all.

We are off to Gatwick around 4 but first have to get the house tidy - a never ending job my family are just so messy!

DS3 has his first competitive football match today. Bad news is that we have to trek 50 mins to get to the match and 50 mins back again. He is very nervous and came in in floods of tears when he missed an open goal playing with the kids on our green. We quickly googled the good and the great doing the same thing and his tears dried up.

DS1 is being beastly, I am glad he is in an appartment with PIL. I need some breathing space he is just so rude.

Downstairs hard floors to wash and I want to wash our bedding this morning. Once everyone is up I will clean the en-suite. I will clean the family bathroom when DS1 has showered after his football.

    I HAVE IRONED EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

If I don't get back on today I hope everyone has a nice week and I'll see you all Tuesday week when I'll be drowning in post holiday washing.

    Morning all

Uni visit went well yesterday, DS1 loved Birmingham and loved the course. He will need to work reallly hard to meet the requirements but at least that is a good way to focus.

My feet and joints are aching from the travelling, walking and I've picked up a sore throat (I usually avoid busy places and trains) and am spiking a temp so feel a bit bleurgh.

Dailies only today, plus ironing and laundry I think, there is always next week after all.

I'd have had a trip out Dusty if I'd have known you were going to Birmingham yesterday.
