Morning
Woke up at 4am with a stinky headache, so took 2 what ever was inthe draw and went back to sleep till 8am, even the cat wasn't pawing at me to fed him!!!
Just dropped OH 7 miles from home so he can run home, he is doing the Great North Run next week and has been in serious training for the last couple of months, he is running on behalf of macmillan cancer.
Ironing to do.
It is sunny here, (atm) said it was going to chuck it down, hence the reason why I didn't go car booting, never mind I can save the items of interest for next weekend end!
More apples and pears to peel in a bit.
Catch you all later xxxBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning Folks
Dusty Glad Uni trip went well. Hope you feel better soon.
We are deciding whether to stay home and sort the house out or pop to a local ikea estate. Not feeling energectic today.
WM is on as usual, ironing mountain is looming, also must remember to prepare school stuff,
it's very humid here 80% when I put machine on this morning.
I did some Christmas shopping the week so my parents are sorted.

I have found some lurverly emoticons!
One for all and all for one! Muskehounds are always ready......
One for Piggers when we aren't working but are chatting....
One for the days when we flutter weakly rather than blitzing the place
....and one when we are doing a Piggers-style assault on the place....
....and two for when she realises I've just posted this about her...

JoJo These are brilliant. Particularly the flying ones and Piggers whip.
Congrats on the training of Minion. A real credit to her Mum.
Anyway, I woke up to a new wedding ring as my anniversary present.:j My ring finger feels much happier. Its been really odd since July.
It's pouring with rain here but not too windy yet. If it eases a bit I need to get out and take down the plastic greenhouse or it will take off.
Other than that just

I have nearly finished packing... Although will probably end up rearranging things! The study is a tip as I have pretty much gutted the spare room. Tomorrow I have to clear as many window sills as I can (including taking down blinds and curtains) so that the upstairs windows can be painted next week. It will be SO nice to have them done.
greenbee have a wonderful trip. Who's overseeing the painting if you are away?
We are having the decorator in finally to re-plaster the ceiling (overflowing bath and shower leak about 2 years ago) and redecorate - lots of dark varnished wood which really makes the place dark will all be turned glossy white.
Curtains ordered for living room and dining room to keep more heat in over the winter. Thermal blind arrived for the kitchen - I just need to make some alterations and then hang. I WILL be ready for winter.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
Just popping in - have written my listy for today - and managed to do TWO columns - one "really ought to" and one "it'll make you feel better if you write it down, but actually fat chance"!
JJTT - forgot to congratulate you on your place in the band - and there was you thinking it wasn't worth asking.
LW - many a good comment and thought sent your way. For what it's worth I really struggle with the concept that people don't prepare for meetings - working in industry I would never ever dream of going to a meeting without at least scanning through the file - and see no reason why the public sector, including a hospital, should think it's OK not to research the information required to speak to you. As far as your flying goes .......... I can kind of understand that you want to work through all the lists - but perhaps you need to spot that you're more or less on your own there - and at what point to do you actually realise you can't - as in, how many things does Pigpen have to put on the list before you shout "enough"! I guess the rest of us have come to realise that "enough" comes pretty fast some days. The dust will gather if you don't do it this week, but I, for one, frequently have to deal with a couple at least weeks worth of dust - I'm certainly not proud of it, but I have to make choices about how to spread my available time. Perhaps for you it is still a work-life balancing act - flying has become your work - but spending time on hobbies we enjoy, or with people we want to be with (Mr LW) is critical - and I'm sure Mr LW would love to hear about you spending time on you when he comes home from work, as well as you removing all the dust bunnies.
Please don't leave us LW, whatever you decide to do - many of us on here - well, OK, me, if no-one else will put their hands up, fly on here during the week on the flimsiest of flying actvity excuses, and, in any case, I'm hoping Pigpen will always make an exception for you, as I really appreciate your contribution and the time and effort you put into your posts - you help to keep us all afloat. Anyway, you need to keep posting on here so we can make sure your're collecting your spoons.
Right, three cakes within minutes of being ready to leave the oven, now need to finish the next batch and put them in.
Spending three days down in Hemel Hempstead on a training course for work this week (learning "Habits") so need to be reasonably on top of things before I go as Mr B will be in charge of house and Mr and Mrs Dog in my absence.Work is not my Hobby0 -

Morning all
So much to comment on, that I'm bound to forget something.
I love the emoticons, jojo, and well done to minion (and you!). She sounds like she has the potential to be a very sensible young lady.
seafarer's - that recipe sounds lovely.
Mumto5 - have a great holiday!
greenbee - sending safe journey vibes.
dusty - sorry to hear you're not feeling too good. Hope you're better soon. I'll stick the disney card in an envelope today. Sorry it's taken me so long.
Mrs B - sounds like a sensible division of your list. I'll have to try something similar.
Today I need/should/want to do:
DW
laundry x 6
get clothes ready for tomorrow (DS2's and mine)
tea
find out if school needs notice for DS2 to start taking sandwiches
(make up packed lunch if they don't)
make a list of all the things DS2 could have in his packed lunch
buy some eggs
make meringue (want to make a pudd with strawberries, meringue and mascarpone)
make a loaf cake and/or some biscuits or similar
sort money for tomorrow
go to the church event next to DS2's school (they're raising money for roof repairs)
a HHC or two
school stuff
save jojo's emoticons to word doc for future use
Time to drag OH out of bed. DS1 is at Alton Towers, celebrating his friend's 18th. He has been out of bed before 8am 5 times in the last 7 days.:rotfl:
Have a lovely Sunday, everyone. Going to make the most of the wind and sunshine now and get first load of laundry out.0 -
The guy who is doing the windows did the outsides, so I just need to take down the curtains and move as much stuff out of the way of dust as possible. He's very tidygreenbee have a wonderful trip. Who's overseeing the painting if you are away?
