Virtual hugs Lamewolf..or a cat lick if you prefer...dont have dogs Im afraid.......but you have to stay with us...once here you arent allowed to leave and I love reading your posts too.

I agree with what the other Flyladies have said...perhaps check the lists and just select 3 items that need doing...theres 8 of us here...6 very messy kids and I only do the things on the list that apply to us...with just 2 of you and such a good Mr Lw there will be far less that applies to you xx...all I have done today is 2 lots of washing TD and DW.....and apart from bathing the 2 littlies and a quick tidy up later thats all I am doing ( Please dont let Piggers read this).

You are far more important to us and Mr LW than some old housework jobs....spend your extra time doing things for you xxxxxx

  • LW - wot they all said :D please don't leave us. We love your posts :) And don't worry about the lists. How about doing what Fibromum suggested, and put a maximum of 3 items. Or put things on the list like 'read a book' 'play a game' 'do some crafting' :) the whole idea of the lists are to guide us mere mortals who don't know where to start! It sounds like your house is much more under control ;)

Flying wise, before picking up from playschool I managed to finish off the kitchen surfaces, put on some washing, and wipe down the units. i am still working my way through the pile of stuff from my hotspot while the children are playing quietly :D It is so calm and peaceful here today! :j

In fact he thinks I'm getting bogged down with trying to do all the lists - he says I'm emptying and tidying cupboards that are perfectly tidy just because it's on the list, and he's probably right.

I'm unsure whether to leave the thread completely, or whether (Mr LW's suggestion) I should just note which room is to be done on a given day, and only do what actually needs doing in that room, no others. But I don't know, it feels like a cop-out to do that;:( as if I'm not doing sufficient. But at present, I'm spending all my active time doing housework, and still scratching about to finish the lists when I need to be starting to get dinner ready; I don't get any time for anything else, like reading, or RPG gaming, or crafts - and even if I'd time, I have no energy for them.:(

Sounds like a typical appointment .. hopefully some good will come of it.

Right you.. we have told you before about doing too much.

I havent completed 1 full list in maybe 2.5 years!! I just physically cant do it... I take off what doesnt need to be done and what I cannot do (at the moment that is everything!) and do what has to be done.

I will miss you if you go.. i will miss your wolfy hugs and your woofy visitors .. and you general waffle.. so you have to stay here with us.

As for the lists.. how about you read the first 2 posts.. how many times does it say these are suggestions not commands?

you miss off the bits where there are phonecalls needed so you can miss off any bits you like.. we dont come and prod you with sharp sticks for skipping those bits.

I want you to think about how you can make it easier for yourself.. I would suggest you get a timer or a stopwatch.. and you are NOT under any circumstances allowed to do more than 1 hour cleaning a day!! or half an hour or however long you can cope with that day.. that ime limit is FAR more important than what you do get done.. you cant make that much mess just the 2 of you!!!

Woud Mr LW be happier with that too?

Huggles LW from someone else who suffers with Doctors! Could you write a Toots list instead of following the lists posted so that you can still be here but not doing so much?

I would join in as Im very limited and the only thing i do is flick a duster around. I think there are probably a few of us around who lurk but cant really post.

Hugs to you Lamewolf. You have many virtual friends who would miss you hugely. I have had similar appointments to the ones you describe and they leave you mentally and physically drained. You need to rest up, regain the strength and fight xx

LW big big hugs, i don't think i've completed one list in at least a year. :o and the only thing wrong with me is i'm lazy...:rotfl:

My head is so flipping sore, so painkillers to be took, then chippie feed and bed early..:(

OH and me will do some flying later which is badly needed.
I can't get to the wm because there is too much in the room.
I can't cook dinner because i didn't put the dw on earlier so no dishes plus the worktops are covered with rubbish and bits and bobs. (DW on now and will need a second load).
So that is 2 things that need sorted tonight and then bed. This cold/sore head better leave me soon as i'm sick of feeling so crap.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
