I'm coming out of semi-lurkdom to second Juliejim's post. LW I love reading your posts please don't vanish - sending you purry hugs (only got cats sorry)0

HUGE hugs for LW, and tea/coffee/cola(or diet)/wine/beer and biscuits for everyone!
Please don't worry about the lists. They are only there for guidance, and it is not necessary to do them all every day. I don't think I've done anything on the lists this week, as I've been concentrating on other things that need doing instead.
If it helps, you could always look at the lists, remove the items that don't apply and then go from there. But remember, it's OK not to do them all. Mr LW isn't bothered, is he? So there's no need to feel like a failure.
If you enjoy RPG's and crafting, then spend more time doing that. To feel better, you need to spend some time doing the things that make you happy, not scrubbing floors and washing dishes.
Do you play Eve or WoW at all? I'm not on WoW right now as my laptop can no longer handle the graphics and I can't afford a new one until end of October at the earliest. But, I am on Eve. So if you are too, and ever want to do some missions together, let me know. If you prefer to play alone, that's cool too
xx
PS. Look at this thread....You DO have cyber friends my dear!

Thank you, you lovely people. I know what it is with me - I'm something of an obsessive-compulsive;:( if it's on the list, I must do it, or feel that I've left something uncompleted. The only things I can easily ignore are things that literally can't be done, e.g. hotspots or floordrobes, because they simply don't exist here.:o
I may have to go about it by just looking at which room is the one to do, and not use the list at all (i.e. not even copy it over).:o
Of course, the other thing is that I find it next to impossible to accept not being able to do things that twenty years ago I'd have just got on and done - I mean, for goodness sake, in my previous house I even decorated from top to bottom myself, including the stairwell! Now, I can't even lift a full milk carton!:(
Euronorris I don't do MMORPGs; I'm too nervy to play something "with" other people apart from Mr LW; we do things like Oblivion, Neverwinter Nights and Dragon Age Origins which are single player RPGs on the pc - usually we either take it in turns to "drive", or I do the mouse and Mr LW does the keyboard if we're both playing. We do PS2 games also (Champions of Norrath, Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 2 and similar) - we've not (yet) got a PS3. I also have a Nintendo DSi which I use for Dr Kawashima's Brain Training, and I have the three Professor Layton games and Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars, but I haven't had time to play those in an absolute age.
Originally Mr LW said I could do Oblivion while he's at work (it's on his pc, as my graphics card isn't powerful enough to support it) but as I say, I've never yet had time....
He's currently awaiting Elder Scrolls 5 - Skyrim to be released (11th November); it's on order from Amazon, paid for with my vouchers from online surveys (he's had his last 3 games for "free" that way).;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW bless you, drs can be unsympathetic when it comes to CFS, mainly because they dont have it themselves so cant possibly empathaise without the experience. If they did they would do everything they could to find treatments that work.
DONT bother doing anything YOU dont want to. If it makes you happy do your favourite hobbies, eat chocolate, watch TV, take a bubble bath etc anything to indulge yourself.
Re the lists -some of the ladies in the US flylady forums have major health issues too and they do "3s". They just list 3 small tasks and try to do them, thats all. Sometimes the lists on this thread are unbelievably ambitious and unrealistic for those with energy issues, so DONT compare yourself of try to keep up with them.
Lots of people here care about you so dont disapear, at least not for long if you want to take a break and try to relax. Love to you and MrLW for trying to help (It's fab that he offers to clean the loo) x
getting there slowly0 -
I've actually managed to be on top of things this week so far, even the thread!
Wendywitch - I don't know the full story regarding your XH but blimey, he sounds terrifying! Please take care of yourself & your family, & give hell to the idiots that could have let you known sooner.
Lamewolf - I'm really sorry to hear the response you got from supposed a healthcare professional - mental healthcare is still so far behind what it should be I think. I have to agree with other posts & think you should only do what needs doing, & spend the spare time you'll gain doing things to relax & enjoy yourself, & hopefully ease your symptoms at least a little! You need to put more time into looking after yourself rather than your house. Please take care.Monday ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs

LW huge fluffy Ozzie hugs from here. Don't you dare disappear. Do what you can, leave what you can't. You seem to achieve a lot more than most of us flyladies, but don't get worked up about it. Ozzie sticks out his tongue at stupid doctors.GC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500

LW - Fair enough, I understand.
I often prefer to play alone, simply because I like to take things at my own pace and do what I want to do (rather than what others want to do), and whilst a lot of people are lovely, there are some 'interestng people' (ie, they can get very clingy very quickly, or have quite the temper on them) on there sometimes! And a lot of teenies. But OH is very keen on playing with others often. Which is surprising as he has a social phobia in RL. I think he just feels more protected/secure behind the computer screen.
I think it's Oblivion that OH sometimes plays too. We don't have a PS2 or PS3 (unless the PS2 is another item that OH has hidden away in a box somewhere). We do have the Wii though, with Zelda and that is a cool game! OH fell in love with it all over again! And I got a bit OCD about hitting the targets perfectly in one of the training games! lol
I think it is possible to set up an offline version of WoW. Or have it set up so that only people you allow can access that version of the game. I'm sure the OH did that at one point. Maybe you're not supposed to though (shhhhh) - I just checked, you't not supposed to. But if it took your fancy you could always try that. Oh, Warcraft came before WoW, I think, and was offline so that could be something to try out.
But it sounds like there are plenty of games you have that you could play. You just need to ignore the lists on here
Nice job with the vouchers!! I never get through enough surveys, then get bored and give up. lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Bless you LW what a sh*tty experience you had yesterday.
I echo everyone else's comments re cutting down on lists and spending more time on hobbies etc and just going with what you feel like doing on each particular day. Juliejim put it superbly :T
And we are your friends
Due to the high number of people worrying about you disappearing, I have a new, bigger, fly-lady bus on standby...
