My latest ema of dan. It states im already on the new price plan as my contract is new(3month). The thing is j knew about the call charges being the same but i checked over and over again that my data is £5 for 500mb over my allowence so have sent another email to dan regarding this and that it is not the call charges that affect me but the mew out of bundle charges. My email as follows
Good Morning David Thank you for your email about the price changes. The results i had back from The Billing Team were that you would not be eligible as you are on the latest price plan which has the majority of the price changes built in already, so only a few things have changed in your case like a reduction in calls to 08 numbers for example. Customers who took out a contract with us from June 2011 will not be impacted as they are already on the latest price plans . The changes to line rental represent an average increase of less than 1 , well below inflation. We are standardising our out of bundle charges, reducing the cost of calling other mobile networks and cutting the cost of calling 08 numbers by as much as 80 . If you regularly use more voice minutes or data than is included in your current price plan, we would strongly advise that you contact us to ensure you are on the best plan for your requirements as this could immediately reduce your monthly costs. We also ha!
ve a range of add-ons that could help you. For instance, if you regularly exceed your bundle because you make a lot of calls to other Vodafone numbers, you should get our 5 month Unlimited Vodafone UK to Vodafone UK package. Or if you regularly breach your data allowance you can add an extra 500MB per month for just 5. How to contact us From a Vodafone Mobile - 191 From another UK phone -!08700
!700 191 Pay Monthly or!08700
!776655
Pay As You Go . From abroad -!447836
!191191
How might these changes affect you? A full list of the new charges can be found atwww.vodafone.co.uk

It sounds like to be he's completely dodged your question there I would state you are not happy and that you will be escalating your complaint. Next stage is to an independent party if u go on there complaints page it will show you.
I'm still waiting on a reply & also still not received an answer in relation to my 2nd number. Do not give up easy because they will just take it as you were trying your luck if stay adiment that you are able to cancel they will have to resolve it some how.0 -

Ive never done anything like this so im unsure of what to do. I know someone said a ombudsman but I dont know what to do with them what info I need to provide etc. it seems there just fobbing people of in the hope they wont persue. Does it cost to take it further? I dont wana be spending a load of cash to cancel.0 -
Moty,
The ombudsman is a free service. Their decision is binding on the company (so if they find in your favour then VF has to do what they say) but if they don't find in your favour you can still go to court - their decision is not binding on you.
You can't open an ombudsman complaint until your complaint with VF has been ongoing for 8 weeks, or VF say you're at "deadlock".
You can ask VF to give you a deadlock decision, but I'd go back to Dan and tell him you want a straight answer. If he still doesn't, then contact the ombudsman.
An ombudsman complaint is simple - you can do it online. I can help you with this when the time comes if you need help.
The only potential cost is if your case needs to go to court (like mine probably will). After taking legal advice, I've decided that I'll go as far as court, but that decision is further down the line for you.0 -
Thanks warrick, ive sent another email to dan saying its the data charges which are changing that will effect me. The only thing is if im on the new tarrif would I have been on the new data bundle charges and the change has only been for older tarrifs. I asked several cs reps and they said it was £5 for 500mb before the change. How would I find this out if I started on the new charges without giving them a way to get out?0

Moty,
I'm not really sure what you're asking?
Do you regularly go over your data allowance? Or are you just questioning the change from £5 for 500mb to £5 for 250mb?0 -

Recieved another phone call from Dan after my millionth email Ive sent to him, lol.
I explained about the data charges, he seems to think Im right and the billing team are wrong so he is going to get in touch with them again to explain what ive explained to him, it seems to be that they are just putting the new changes in place rather than actually looking at the data usage.
He said he'd call me back later today, but we'll see if that happens.
And also see what the outcome is.0 -
Don't hold your breath. I still haven't got my promised call from him (instead I got a boilerplate email from Nick Buxton) so I'm just waiting on the ADR going through with the Ombudsman.Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0
