A tried and tested method is to coat the ball with a thick layer of chocolate and then add a dab of chocolate to the malteser and stick onto the chocolate ball - courtesy of chaosweddings :)

    Thank you CraftymumUK and Chaosweddings
  • I can make these trees but am really struggling to get hold of the small metal tins to place them in, any ideas please

    Thanks

You could use flower pots or a glass vase, I've seen both used when I've been looking at pictures of the sweet trees.
    Making money for Christmas 2012!
  • I use plant pots for trees and plastic bowls for my other trees as they were for kids for easter.
I have tried to post pics but am not allowed yet, does anyone know how many posts I have to do before I can?

Thank you, for the boys eggs the sweets were stuck on with melted chocolate but my great nieces egg I used icing sugar for the dolly mixtures. Quite easy to do, surprisingly

Thank you, I use polystyrene balls and the tree was either a 120mm or a 150mm, not sure the exact size as I got it from Hobbycraft and did not check but it was a solid ball.
