Could you all help me please. I am trying to work out which insurance is best if I sell the sweet trees, also do I need a food hygiene certificate to make and sell them?
Thank you0 -

You can cover the ball in coloured icing or in coloured tissue paper to hide the white gaps.0 -

Not sure about this but guess that you would need a food hygiene rating etc as doing them entails handling the sweets a fair amount (gloves are an absolute must). Haven't looked into insurance as I only make them for family and friends birthdays etc0 -

Not been into the forums much this week but will try to answer for you. I brush the chocolate on the ball in sections (obviously the section I am about to put sweets on), then dip the sweet in the chocolate and place on the ball. You may have to hold it in place for a short while. The icing sugar/water mix should be very thick - you could also add a little CMC/Tylo to make it a firmer glue. You will need some patience as the sweets can start to slide off.
You can support the stick with anything, chocolate, stones - coloured or otherwise, as Nanamia said it is only to hold the ball in the pot and stop it from falling over.
Hope this helps
Do you celophane the oasis before layering in chocolate/royal icing sugar?
I've read through the previous posts, just asking your opinion really0 -
