Why do you think it's faulty, and what do you mean by a proper meter?

Sorry I cannot tell you how I kno its faulty just yet, because of my intellectual property concerns. But I can tell you that they can set the meter wrong b4 it is installed, or in my case forced on me.

A proper meter was the one with the dials, that most people have.

Does anyone else think the E.on hit squad may have struck since the OP has failed to return to what was quite clearly a distressing issue?!

I'm staying away from E.on if they're assassinating customers.

The advice I need, is where do I go to for help in this matter?

There is nowhere which can help you with a problem you will not describe. If you would describe it here, you would probably get sound advice. But if your Intellectual Property concerns are more important than resolving your problem, people will by and large respect that and let your problem pass.

I personally haven't got the foggiest what that was about. Then again, the whole story reminds me of Alan Partridge's Cup O' Beans.

    Totally Bizarre. :rotfl:

You can request that your meter accuracy is checked.

Have you measured your power consumption of appliances, or found that it does not zero, when there is no consumption (everything off)

I would expect a large number of people today do not have a meter with dials.

The electricity companies are required to fit a meter that meets the required standards of accuracy.
The meters without dials are as, or more accurate than dial meters.

They are under no obligation at all to do anything other than to fit an approved type of meter - you don't have to like the colour, or the lack of moving parts.

What reason do you have to suspect it's inaccurate?

Most people have ones with a digital readout now.

The reason I know its inaccurate, is because of the minutes it gains at certain times. I have also done a power assumption check loads of times.
