Sour grapes it is not - it is disappointment in the way it has been dealt with.
I care not a jot what Tesco staff get and whether they brag about it or nor!!!
People on here get loads and people on here certainly brag about it!!
Too many people make no effort, sit on their !!!! and complain they get nothing.
I havent managed to get a laptop but I have got loads of other stuff (toys, electrical, printers, phones etc). but I get up off my !!!! at ridiculous times and go round all the stores I can.
You get what you get and if others are getting it a bit easier than you then so be it.0 -
Morning everyone
Just a reminder we ask people not to exchange personal details for your own safety. We've seen quite a few posts discussing swapping. If you could make sure you don't do that, that would be great.
It looks like there's been a bit of tension on here recently. Remember, everyone here is looking for bargains and trying to help others do the same, so let's keep the thread on that topic.
Thanks!Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Sorry to break up the argumentbut I have managed to find a Remington Comfort 360 Flex & Pivot Shaver that I'm happy to swap if someone wants it (it would only be used as a crimbo pressie for my dad), but would be happy to swap for summat that my 7year old could use (ideally a laptop but think I'd be lucky!!). Not adverse to putting money to as well. Thanks
Yes you blooming well would - nice try though.:rotfl::rotfl:
Well done on your find though... bargains to be had still. Those greedy horrible, nasty, worthless, lazy Tesco staff didn't get them all!!!0 -

I don't appreciate the tone or the fact that my post has clearly been taken out of context and/or misinterpreted. I have an opinion as we are all entitled to have yet I seem to be getting shouted down maybe because I am new to the forum. Who knows. I have lurked for a long time yet when I stick my head above the parapet it seems to be open season. Back to lurking and reading - I don't need this.0 -
There's no point complaining to Tesco, IMO they are one of the worst companies for customer service. Just try to find bargains and if you can't just get on with your life. With that said, all the mentioned items on here were scanning at full price for the past week or so at B1rm1nghäm Spr1ngh11ll, H*dgeh1ll and 5 W*ys. There are couple of the logitech headphones left in H*dgeh1ll; reduced from £20, displays says £9.97 but they are scanning for £4.970

Ok so the staff have had some stock. To be fair how many of you can actually say that you wouldn't have done the same. If I had been staff I would have jumped at the chance of a free laptop! Hands on hearts, would you all have said no to these offers if you were staff?
But my point is that all this complaining may just make Tesco think twice about reducing stuff to these levels again. They don't want the hassle. They could just have easy carted all the old stock off to a warehouse to be sold on to outlets.
I've worked hard and scoured a lot of stores and yes I've had some great bargains, the newest being a Karcher vacuum for £15... showing at £149 on amazon. I'm so thankful to have these things. There has been some fantastic items if you are prepared to put the time in.
Lets just be happy to have had this little bargain window and be happy with what we got. If everyone starts complaining then it will be the last time Tesco does this i'm sure.
One store told me that they were having loads of telephone calls asking about stock of these bargain items. I think getting bothered by phone calls could really put them off running something like this again. One customer service said that she'd had people calling with the same list of laptop & netbook models and asking her to check stock levels, then being really quite rude and not believing her when she's said that she'd already checked and they were all sold.
I put in some serious miles last week, without calling any stores. Got some really great bits and it was great fun - like a treasure hunt !
I would recommend that rather than call the store, get in there - its much easier to charm a helpful tech dept worker when its done face to face!0 -

Nice try?? Really? For all you know, someone could have been able to pick up a number of laptops (as some have managed to), but no Shaver. I also said I'd put money too. Some have managed to get laptops for £44 quid, I know it wouldnt be a straight swap, but I'd already said that.
You seem a little too quick to judge, to be honest. A number of Tesco staff I spoke to were happy to help, and pleased when deals were found.
I find it a little strange that you made the effort and used the energy for such a negative post. Bet you dont put the same time and effort into positive ones0 -
Nothing in the 2 Tesco stores in Nott!ngham

Karen i've heard the same thing. One lovely assistant told me that a man had gone to the counter and demanded the £10 sat navs. She said people had been rude, insisting staff go check again etc etc.
Treasure hunt is a great name for it! I've been out way past midnight on a number of occasions. One evening I put over 180 miles on my clock... in one evening! I'm onto my third £60 tank of petrol and i'm loving it! Some stores nothing, some stores loads. Yesterday I managed to pick up a Karcher vacuum cleaner and my heart was pounding. Hubby spent all last night playing with his new boy toy.
I love you Tesco... :T0 -
I find the thought of your husband playing with a vacuum cleaner plain disturbing. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!
